Gonna be kind of weird to hold the Deron - JJ presser w/o jerseys, no?

Hey guys, knicks fan here.

Im not sure if all of you guys live in jersey or what not, when you were nets fans, but I knew some people that lived in brookly that were nets fans (way before the nets were moving here)..

Just wanna say that Ill be rooting for the nets as well, since im from brooklyn, and they are officially a new york team.

Its wierd that new york kids say "jersey sucks"..and new jersey people hate ny..

I consider ny/nj to be the same practically. Ppl from jersey travel to the city to work, ppl from ny travel to jersey for beach and casino's. I lived in ny and had to travel to jersey for 4 years because I worked for Fed Ex there. Also had lots of good times with the club scene back in the day there. Just found it a bit odd as to how much knicks/nets fans hate eachother so much over the years when in real life we all travel in and out of ny/nj..and one thing I was always jealous of, was the turnpike. Because the brooklyn-queens expressway has been a friggin' disaster for the last decade or so.

The Nets will be a playoff team, but i'm pretty certain they can't win it all with this squad. Their payroll is going to be absolutely massive, which means they wont be able to receive players through or participate in sign & trades, just having the mini-MLE to work with.
Nobody will want Joe Johnson's contract or Gerald Wallace's at that price and Brook Lopez is not a max player.
So they're stuck and King may be looking for a new job in 2 years, although right now he looks like the smartest guy in the room.

The Mavs, on the other hand, may actually field a better roster THIS year and are certainly primed to add players and salary down the line.

It looks like the Nets priority is to negotiate a deal with Humphries... If they can't work one out I'd imagine they'd start looking at Jamison again (who I personally want no part of)...

So guys, what kind of Brooklyn swag have you bought yet? I haven't bought anything yet... :(

However, there is a few things I want to get. I need a hat, at least 3 different t-shirts, a poster or pennant for my classroom, and probably a hoodie down the road.

Ok ok... I'm going to make my first Brooklyn Nets order:

- Nets 3'x5' Flag (for my classroom, I'm a teacher)
- T-shirt - Hello Brooklyn front, Johnson 7 back
- Car sticker
- Nets Basketball (wedding reception coming up, all the guests will sign the basketball upon entering)

My wife wanted a "Hello Brooklyn" shirt but the store doesn't have any ones for ladies now

I just gotta say that the NJ Nets saved me in the 2000's when my NY Knicks were sad and depressing to even watch a game. As much as I loved my Knicks thru the 80's and 90's I found it very hard to watch them. I mean I did, but it was very hard. Then about the same time the NJ Nets got Jason Kidd. Thus saving me from jumping off a building (cause of the knicks) and being able to watch some basketball. Maybe the best team basketball I ever seen in my life not to mentioned the most exciting. NJ was and felt like a NY team. NJ is NY's backyard. Now the Nets are coming to Alantic ave "The Yards" our backyard, and Jay-Z being part of this...What's not to like. BROOKLYN We finally got a team of our own! So all this is gonna be new to a lot of fans like me. I will still root for my Knicks, but I guess now I have another team to root for. This is History in the making. Exciting times for us NY-BK FANS. We fans been waiting for this moment for years. It's finally here, and I'm just gonna sit back relax and enjoy basketball without a worrying how many pts my team is gonna get blown out tonite by.....

I'm originally from Boston and recently moved to New York, but I'm starting to miss not having a local basketball team, so I've decided to start following the Nets too. Looking forward to finally attending some games this year! :)

Bostonian in Brooklyn wanting to root for the Nets?? I'm impressed. That's Brooklyn for you. Welcome to our family. It's gonna be fun and of course you will be witnessing History in the making. You see Brooklyn will be having fans in every part of the world. This is what's going to make this team unique. That's gonna be crazy to comprehend.

I don't think they're available given that the regular season schedule hasn't been released yet :=D

Damn looks nice. Simple yet sophisticated. None of that cartoonish crap with super bright colors that some professional sports franchises love nowadays.

I like.

Next one will be:

"Hello Brooklyn,

I'm Gerald Wallace. I'm a nice guy and I like to fish. Visit my profile on eHarmony."
12-70. Never Forget. Moment of silence for all the fans lost during that battle.
