Options for the Center spot *UPDATED LIST + POLL*

Post#1 » by RexBoyWonder » Fri Jul 20, 2012 1:40 am

We still have a few realistic options that might accept the Vet Minimum, and we're likley to add a Vetren big. Choose the guy you want the most to join us. if you have a second choice post it and explain your choices.

EDIT : Turiaf is gone, he's now a Clipper.
Andersen cleared waivers.

I second this. I feel that Darko has the most potential out of the bunch and will require less "grooming" if you know what I mean

If we get Darko, we'd only be a "Carmelo Anthony" away from having picks 1-5 of the 2003 draft class.

Jones/Joel/Pittman for Anthony. The collection will be complete!

I think Blatche played with Dorell in HS. Maybe Dwyane can use his connections to keep him pacified.

There's someone nobody is mentioning, that I really like. Hadaddi and he was on the Grizzlies, I saw him play 5 minutes against the Clippers and I really liked the guy. He was always sprinting back, grabbing rebounds, he had some post moves, he got a block, but he was a lil weak and getting backed down. But dude's got heart and I wouldn't mind having him for cause he'd be real cheap, low risk high reward I believe.

He got 2 ppg, 2rpg, and .7 bpg for playing 5 minutes a game. Honestly that's better numbers than our centers who play 10+ minutes a game. I say give him 20 minutes a game and he'll be grabbing double digit boards and that's all we really need from our center.

I'm not saying get him over everyone else, but if we don't get anyone and this guy is open we should welcome him with open arms.

I'm not worried about the Center position so whoever goes to the heat it will be OK for me. I'm very much confident with our current roster. Though it's not a traditional lineup, we can still beat whoever team we face. Let the other teams adjust to our lineup than the other way around :)

1. Darko
2. Blatche
3. Birdman
4. K-Mart
...doesn't matter

Just hope we get just one of these guys. It's an upgrade over anything we had last season.

Damn Darko really geting over-hyped around here. i think it's because he's only 27 and people imagine he has some upside. HE DOESN'T. he's been around for 9+ seasons. he is what he is at this point. which is a very little upgrade over joel, if any.

Chris Andersen or even Joey Dorsey will both have more impact then him in the limited minutes any of them will get here.

Stop being so cocky, dude. Not every teams plays like the OKC thunder. A team with a consistent frontcourt is still capable enough of beating us in a seven game series.
Thanks for all the great memories, LeBron! The show must go on! #Heatnation

I would like the addition of Darko to be honest, Birdman is an option as well just to give us some rebounding and fouls and blocks i guess.
Whatever Center we sign it will be good because Lebron playing alot of 4 will grind my gears, he will get tired and become worn down before the playoffs even start.
I understand everyone loves the fact Bosh played center in the postseason but that can't work in a 82 game season as well the playoffs everyone will be tired. Lets get a center spo will play and then let bosh and lebron as the frontcourt close games if need be.

It's pretty common knowledge that darko is bad for the locker room and a bit of a cancer. Would you still except him into the Heat if he disrupts things off the court?

I read he was good in the locker room in Minny. Just happens they discovered Pec.
