Simple calculator to estimate team success

Post#1 » by Sunsdeuce » Fri Jul 20, 2012 9:38 pm

It's not perfect and doesn't calculate the human side but it is a pretty good indicator.

It's a point system broken down by 6 positions. Starting Pg, sg, sf, pf, c, and bench.
Each is given a point value from 1-5.
Point value is like so:
5=superstar
4=star
3=budding star or past his prime star
2=average player
1= below average

Assign each position a number value on what you feel.

When you total all put that number in the below section and should give u an indication of how the suns will do.
Elite= 22-30
average=15-21
Below=1-14

Mine is below for the suns
Dragic=3
Brown=1
Beasley=2
Scola=2
Gortat=3

Bench=1
total=12

Granted it's not perfect but it sorta shows what we have right now.

That must fit as the most extreme simplification on basketball I've ever seen.
