Carmelo and Jordan Crawford on one team?

Dream Starting Line-up

Carmelo Anthony
Jamal Crawford
Allen Iverson

Nate Robinson

It would the be most undersized unit in the league, but boy could they pound that rock, then shoot the lights out.

Replace Crawford with our good friend JR

That's the exact reason why there's a 0% chance people will stop watching the games on MSG, or people will stop going to games and buying Knicks merch. It won't happen

I think you're missing something: I'm not going to follow the team but it won't be because I'm protesting or boycotting. I have no interest in the roster and realize that this team has no chance. Trading Lin took the final joy out of the club. What is there to watch? See if JR and Melo can get hot? Boooooring.

Simmons was right -- Tyson won't get any easy looks anymore. Easy baskets will be much harder to come by. Ball movement will dry up.

There is nothing of interest, to me. It's not a boycott. My Knick fan life is dead by natural causes. They've taken all the interest out of it for me. I find there to be no suspense or doubt left with this team. We already know what's going to happen -- right down to JR getting a big contract next summer, and very likely Melo getting another Max in 3 years.

They will kill off some fans like me because I just don't think there's any hope left, or anything compelling about this roster.

I feel pretty much the same way. The 2013 Knicks will be boring, unlikeable, have 0% chance at a title, be way over the salary cap with basically no flexibility to make a sign and trade or any significant moves, they've traded most of their upcoming draft picks.

Basically we have a Marbury/ Crawford ZBo Isiah type team back.

Maybe we can hire Donnie Walsh.

Me too and I wouldn't be surprised to see them end up with a better record than the Knicks (I'm taking sig bets). They will either rebuild the way a team should, and with a Linsanity type line-up of exciting young guys, or they will have a Lin-Dwight pairing. Either way they will be very fun to watch.

Lin
Martin[will go gone mid season and Lamb takes his spot]
Parsons
Morris
Asik

that's actually worse than the Linsanity lineup. That teams ceiling is 25 wins, and that's why I'm not judging Lin this season

The Rockets will suck, period. I'm looking forward to watching him improve though, I know he will.

That's probably not worse than the Linsanity lineup.

Lin = Lin
Martin/Lamb = Fields/Shumpert
Parsons > Novak
Morris/Patterson/Jones/All the PFs > Jeffries
Asik < Chandler

Morris is like their 5th or 6th PF in the rotation. White will be starting because he's a beast. Terrence Jones and Pattrick Patterson are still there. Motiejunas will probably share minutes at C with Asik, and he's looked far better in summer league than I expected him to. That lineup would mop the floor with our Linsanity lineup.

Of course it is. The one thing that made our team viable, with or without are stars, was Tyson Chandler. His mere presence on the floor made us better on both ends.

You're kidding right? Houston signed Jeremy Lin, not Michael Jordan. We're talking about a guy with no handles, overrated court vision, and can't go side to side.

Their team is 30 wins at best. While your Knicks team is healthy if 50 wins at worst. Get a clue, don't let your love for Lin blind you of reality.

Who knew that a nerdy asian kid could make grown men (like you) act like a bunch of catty b*tches. He's not MJ, no one said he was. He said at his press conference, that he's been working on everything you just said he he sucked at, and then some.

His team won't make the playoffs and if you're using that to justify why we're better off without him, you need help. The kid will improve, that's what the rest of us anticipate.

"Healthy Knicks team"

This is a myth. It's as likely as "Peak T-Mac" and "Healthy Chris Paul". We have two players under the age of 28, and one of them just got a huge injury. We don't exactly have an iron man, or young roster.

Really I'll believe it when I see it, anyone can say anything. It doesn't mean **** until a real game happens. How the heck did he improve his court vision? I'd love to see that. Last time I heard that was when Dolphins' fans were trying to convince me that Ronnie Brown improved his. It's either you have it or you don't. All I saw was a guy that was turn over prone with tunnel vision, and that's what Lin is too.

Nope, he can improve but you guys are making his ceiling far higher than it should be. Third tier point guard at best. His Harvard education doesn't make him a smart basketball player. He stops his dribble way early, turns over the ball constant, can only dribble one way, can't dribble with both hands, is pretty much predictable.

He can attack the basket about as good as any guard can, but let's not overrate his PG skills. He's not one, he just needed to be one for your team.

Seeing as there's only like 3 real good true PGs in the league right now, his scoring skills, which will be pretty damn good at the PG position, it'll definitely be passable. I think he has pretty good court vision and he plays the pick and roll very well. He's good at penetrating and kicking.

Going left and dribbling with both hands is the easiest thing to improve. Derrick Rose couldn't go left his first year.

He only had issues "stopping his dribble way early" against Miami. Aside from that game, he did a great job of keeping his dribble alive both in the paint, and along the baseline. He gets in the paint and surveys the court nicely.

Most of his turnovers were either him forcing a pass he shouldn't attempt (most notably to Amar'e) or getting stripped in the paint (could be decreased with increased strength).

He can work on his left hand. Also, nobody is allowed to dribble with "both hands." As for predictability? Meh...he drives, keeps his dribble alive, has a nice iso game, and can pass.

*FWIW, I do agree with your previous post where you said his vision is overrated / can't improve that.

Is he a "pure" point guard a la Nash or Paul? No; but he can definitely run an offense and be a point guard. From the beginning of Linsanity, I've felt he could be a Lowry/Conley tier PG. I still feel that way.
