Bulls are just faking interest in multiple players. It's a ruse to fool the fans. And if you go on their board, it works like a charm. Most of them talk as if they were Reinsdorf's personal accountants, worrying more about the owner's money than about what could be done to improve that team and hold the fort till Rose returns.

In the end they'll get none, cause Reinsdorf doesn't want to pay the tax. The Rockets could have Asik for half the price and the Bulls still wouldn't match cause, AFAIK, they're just under the tax without him.

As I see it, in 3 years or less Rose will ask out of Chicago cause he'll never have enough help to win it all, Reinsdorf will make him seem like the bad guy and the Bulls fans will eat it hook, line and sinker and blame Rose for being a traitor, a quitter etc. And they'll stay mired in mediocrity till Reinsdorf sells the team or they luck out in the lottery again.

If my understanding about surviving amnesty bids is right, how do contract offers really affect Darko?

Won't he still get the same paycheck assuming no crazies offer mo than his original contract. If so, doesn't this mean that an income tax free state like Tx and FL has a much bigger affect on his income?

I wish I knew more about Darko than my draft memories and the one YouTube clip that everyone loves posting...probably not a great sign

Edit: after a bit more reading, since he cleared bids, I think any new contract Goes on top of the 5+ million the twolves already guaranteed?

With the Bulls signing Mohammed, one less bidder for Darko.

It would seem the Heat have a good chance at landing Darko if they are interested. Not only do the Heat offer the best chance to win a championship, but also the best opportunity for playing time. He could easily take Joel Anthony's minutes if he would accept that role.

Unless another bidder emerges, the Nets and Clippers have their starting power rotation and primary backup already defined.

I think Darko would do well in Miami. I mean, he'd be playing with great passers in Lebron, Bosh (solid passing big-man) and I think he'd get a couple easy dunks/lay-ups per game, that should keep him happy on the offensive end. Playing for a contender would probably help too, and I think his presence inside the paint (especially on d) could be useful, as the guy can block shots.

So its really between us and the Nets or Clippers? Hmm I think we land him if were truly interested.

And seeing Pittman play in SL I definitely want to bring Darko aboard.

In short, occasionally he can pull a play worthy of his pick, but also he can be so bad to make you wonder who forgot to lock the door and let hobo on court :P

The bad thing is that miraculous performances are too few and far in between; the good thing is that he only turned 27 last month, so if kept under tight screw he could be well worth his (minimum) money.

Bottom line, Darko is either someone you love or hate, no other options are available; where else do you get things like this:

Darko Milicic doesn’t need your fancy banks

Btw, speaking of clips this is how good Darko looks like:

How bad Darko looks like:

Hope it helps :)

Clippers sign Ryan Hollins:

http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/stor ... llins-deal

Clips and Bulls both signed big men this week. There are only two teams that were originally interested in Darko that are left, the Heat and Nets. The Nets have already signed Brook Lopez, Kris Humphries and Reggie Evans.

Again, it's really just a question of whether or not the Heat are interested and Darko is willing to accept a specific role on a championship team.

Would be a great fit if both parties are committed to it.

I don't see how Darko doesn't happen now. Both sides are running out of options. Small ball or not, the Heat need more size on their roster.

Sorry I don't have anything to add to this topic, just wanted to say that Heat Loaf is probably my favorite user name ever. Surprised nobody has thought of it before and pissed that I didn't think of it. Welcome

I know it's hard to be a teenager but there's no need to keep asking. When there is news it will be posted. No-one is waiting until you ask to tell everyone else.
