No Rush to get Rush?

Post#1 » by Deinonychus » Mon Jul 23, 2012 2:51 am

I'm kind of surprised I haven't heard more about Rush this offseason.

After picking up Marvin, I feel less need to sign another wing, but would we be interested in signing him? Adding him and the two Williams would really boost our outside shooting. Like..a lot.

And how much money would it take to make sure GS doesn't retain him. Maybe Floppymouse has an idea?

EDIT: I went over to the GS board, and it looks like they plan on retaining him as long as it doesn't push them over the luxury tax line. It looks like we would need to pay 6-8 mil to pry him away. Worth it? Or is Hayward/Marvin/Rush/Burks too much of a crowd?

Is he that much better than Tinsley considering it will cost a lot more and he will get fewer minutes? I don;t really think so. He's an ok player and all, I wouldn't be opposed but he's not someone I'd be pissed to miss out on.

I'm confused by the Tinsley comparison, since he's a SG.

I would really like to add a dead-eye shooter like that. The question is whether he would be worth over-paying for. Probably not. I'd like to see some team put a little pressure on the Warriors though, and not let them keep him for the Q.O.

Yeah, it's the overpaying thing I was referring to. Tinsley is probably the odd man out if he's added. He would be the 3rd PG on the team then.

His value should be like 3-4 mil year max and we have no room for him.

The Warriors want him back, but they are waiting on Landry. They have 8 million to spend. They are hoping to give Landry 5 million per & resign Rush at 3 million per. Rush is a nice player that should only get better.

I prefer to give the minutes to Burks and Hayward
