Keyon Dooling Returns (update pg 4)

Post#1 » by Jeff23 » Tue Jul 24, 2012 12:43 am

Sources are telling me that Keyon Dooling will be back for the vet min. Celtics really love his locker-room presence and his personality. Celtics are again waiting to see if somebody becomes available that might interest them, so i really dont know when they will announce it.

I am really loving this signing. Dude really stepped up in the playoffs and IMO is a very likable person.

Nice one man.

If anybody would come.back for vet minimum it would be him.

Great locker room guy who can give us a few solid minutes but won't demand minutes like some other vets might.

I love the signing if it goes down.

Rondo/Dooling
Bradley/Terry/Lee

Thats a sick backcourt rotation.

Keyon is a player who knows Doc's system, good locker room guy, and plays good defense. Glad to see him back in Boston.

I wanted him and Pietrus for locker room presence alone. Both guys are awesome.

The obvious -- and correct -- move.

Nice cherry on the sundae, Danny.

Is being a good "locker room guy" really all that important? I don't see stupid locker room stuff being an issue with or without Dooling. I want him to come back because he knows his role already and has experience in Doc's system...not because I'm worried that we might bring in someone else who would disrupt everything. Really doubt KG would put up with that kind of garbage.

He's worth bringing back just for his ability to speak fluent Rondo.

If Dooling is signed, and Joseph and Christmas both make the team, that's it. 15 guys.

Rondo, Lee, Bradley, Terry, Christmas, Dooling
Pierce, Green, Joseph
Bass, Sullinger
Garnett, Wilcox, Melo, Collins

Then I hope he is hired as some kind of assistant coach who can be a great locker room presence. I think our guard rotation is pretty much set. I think we really need 1 more big who can play, a stopper for guys like Lebron and Durant. Leave 1 slot open and leave it to Mr. Ainge to deliver during mid season.

It doesn't mean anything? What's wrong with having 6 guards? It means having 3 people per position, and with a 15 man roster, that is ideal. 3 people per position.

thats a good signing. im a heat fan and i was legit scared every time the ball was swung to him in the corner - he could not miss! An d he seems like a great guy, always very cordial amd classy in interviews.

I'm ready to roll with that team. Excellent off-season by the Celtics. Save the BAE for later in the year.

I'd rather keep the younger Joseph.
