First win is a must both because of the losing streak but also because Hernandez is up next.

No. But I think the Yanks will be ok without a .276 singles hitter. Chavez can man the corner for the time Alex is out.

You can't be dense enough to think Chavez is an upgrade over Arod, Yanks need another infielder stat!

First, I never said he was an upgrade...

Have you been watching this season at all? Alex's numbers are pedestrian. He's NOT why the Yanks win anymore. He is not going to return to his roid yrs. Sorry kids.

Do you think the Yanks will give away prospects for a marginal infielder AT BEST till A-rod returns in the post season.

This is NOT the Knicks fan who panic every time. Gentlemen, THAT'S why Cash re-signed Chavez in the FIRST PLACE.

Let's REVIEW for the kids how much Alex is owed:

2013 37 New York Yankees $28,000,000
2014 38 New York Yankees $25,000,000
2015 39 New York Yankees $21,000,000
2016 40 New York Yankees $20,000,000
2017 41 New York Yankees $20,000,000

YOU LIKE those numbers?

Meanwhile Derek Sanderson Jeter, the guy the Steinbrenners, Levine, and Cash gave a hard time for a contract but STILL playing...hitting .312 and back in the #2 slot added 3 hits and scored two runs will lead this team to the playoffs.

In fact, I like the way the order looks. Jetes can now get a look at the pitches Ichiro is seeing and advance the runner...and every one moves up in the order. Cano, Tex, Granderson will give each other protection.

We're fine. This is a vet team we all KNEW this was coming...get the injuries over with now not during the playoffs.

Yanks get the win! Life moves on...

Nova didn't get the win. Despite only 2 hits, the 6 walks put him in a 2-1 hole. He didn't have great command at all BUT he battled...

I just think its that midseason fatigue. He'll be fine. Problem being, come playoff time you gotta have your game because the offense is not going to give the run support like they did much of the first half. Not just in regards to Nova but the entire staff.
