That's great news. Not that he will be completely healthy and in top shape before early 2013 but still.

Good to hear rehab is going well. Do you expect him to bump his stats up much this year?

Hard to say. He won't be 100% when he gets playing. The half-year experience under his belt should help but he basically lost his off-season due to rehab. Hoping for a return to form this year and a bump next year.

Hopefully he's been putting in some work on his free throws since it's really the only basketball thing he can do right now. His FT shooting got progressively worse. If he can shoot 40% from the field and 70% from the line, I'll be happy.

Yeah, hard to say. On the one hand he won't be 100% for a while. On the other hand he should have much improved wings to pick up some assists off of.

Guys hitting the wide open three should get him 3 more assists a game...

I expect Rubio to perform better in the future, but his stats should improve mostly thanks to an improvement in the team.

Rubio & Pek to start every game
Roy & Budinger additions
Johnson and Williams improvements (in theory)

i think so. his shooting might not get better this season but i expect his shooting percentage to improve due to better shot selection. i hope he keeps working on his mechanics and staying on balance when shooting jumpers and finishing.

Obviously it will take time for him to get in playing shape, but there is no questioning his ability to make ubelievably great passes to create open shots. I just hope his defense doesn't suffer, he was amazing in that aspect.

Rubio will become better player year by year until 30 years old, simply he will loose the quickness or explosiveness of a young player along 2/3 years. Rubio with 25 years will be the same player with injury or without injury. Rubio isn't Rose, each one has different weapons, but even Rose can be better player in two years.

On the other hand, Rubio hasn't needed muscles or jumps for revolutionize the franchise last season. I'm starting to hate some comments (I'm not talking about you) about Rubio must develop muscles of here or of there.

My main worries are Rubio can break the same knee again and the sky may fall on my head tomorrow ... but tomorrow never comes.

Ricky Rubio (knee surgery) feels he is ready to resume running but he hasn't been cleared yet by doctors, according to Wolves GM David Kahn.

Rubio has another checkup the first week of August, when hopefully he'll be cleared to ramp up his rehab. Minnesota has had medical personnel with Rubio every day he's been in Spain this summer, protecting the health of their franchise PG, but his return date is still up in the air.

Good news, who knows, he'll might be ready for the season...That's exactly 3 months away. If he can start running in a week or 2, that is maybe not out of the question.

It's nice to read he's ahead of the schedule but for the love of God, please don't rush anything. Who cares about a week or two, or even a month if he has problems with his knees all year long?
