Pretty damn good deal for the Rangers; Columbus did not get the haul I expected.

Edit: More I think on it, more I think the Rangers seriously stole this one. No Kreider or Stepan? Howson is a joke

Such a bad deal for the Blue Jackets, a late first round pick, 2 soft forwards and Erixon?

**** that. I didn't want him anymore, but sucks seeing him go to a rival contender.
Good deal for NY.

How did Howson go from demanding at least two of McDonagh/Del Zotto/Kreider/Stepan + Dubinsky to only wanting Dubinsky, an unproven kid, a filler and a low draft pick? Insane.

And to think, Rangers still have the space to get Shane Doan.

That trade should be denied by the league because its absolutely ridiculously lobsided.

It's amazing that the Blue Jackets felt the need to attach other things to Nash to finish off the deal.

Awful, just awful.

Columbus would've been better off asking for 1 stud prospect, and a bunch of crap than this package.

Howson now looks like a complete moron. He's been asking for the world from every team in league and now he settles for this?

If he would of lowered his intial asking price he could of gotten alot more for Nash.

Nash has 547 points in 674 games, so he's not a superstar offensively

(Heatley, for example, has 742 points in 751 games)

Granted, Nash wasn't afforded the luxury of playing with 1st line caliber talent, but then either was Mats Sundin during the majority of his career, yet he managed a point-per-game in over 1300 contests

Factor in the additional cap room for Columbus, and I'm more inclined to wait 'n' see how it plays out before damning Howson

Nash has 53 points in 54 international games, so when he doesn't have all 5 members of the opposing team looking at him, he can put up big numbers.

And I dont know about this additional cap room? They are actually taking back a few thousand dollars more than what Nash makes.

Nash has always been the number one with no number two (that whole Jeff Carter thing worked out GREAT). Heatley has never been in that situation. It's apples and oranges.

When you don't need to spend anytime paying attention to 20 guys on a roster, it's a lot easier to hone in on one talented weapon.

Yeah...the difference between Joe Thornton feeding you passes and Derek Brassard feeding you passes is pretty substantial. Nash has been the only talent in Columbus pretty much.

Columbus is going to suck next year (and beyond). I can't imagine fans showing up to watch them play

30 goals, 29 assists in 82 games

30 goals, 27 assists in 74 games

Which one is Rick Nash and which one is Evander Kane?

Bye, bye Columbus Blue Jackets hello Quebec's newest franchise or somebody else in Canada. This is a terrible deal for The Jackets. The Rangers hosed them here. I mean they got crap for Nash. Rangers might have just bought the 2012/2013 cup.

Explain how that team has a fighting chance? They traded their star for a bunch of middle of the pack prospects and a late first. That team has relocation all over it, the blood is in the water and the
"Quebec Sharks" smell it
