No they don't. All reports say he's asking for young talent AND multiple draft picks AND cap relief of multiple contracts AND a all-star
That is why every single team (even the fringe ones like the Hawks) has walked away and talks have been dead for over a week now
The Rockets do not have a all-star talent. Even they are not capable of making a trade that "Henny" is asking for. Although Henny obviously has nothing to do with it (He's smart enough from his experience at OKC to know how unrealistic and utterly ridiculous that is)
The Magic FO is not trying to trade Dwight. They are putting out these ridiculous demands and entertaining teams that have no real deal simply to make it look like they are trying while maintaining that they won't actually find a trade. Remember what happened with the Brooklyn trade. Henny knew exactly what they could offer, and yet he spent 2 whole days negotiating with them only to say at the end "they have nothing to trade". He would've known that from the start and didn't have to waste time even talking to them but he did. Then the
very next day Henny goes to Dwight and asks him to reconsider staying. The goal all along was to make it look like they tried but just couldn't get it done to Dwight so he would maybe soften up once Brooklyn was no longer on the table.
And ever since that day not a single serious trade rumor has been out. There's been a couple overinflated ones (Cavs) but all of them were confirmed later to have never been serious. All reports have been that the Magic are holding back. All reports are Houston has been willing to deal but it takes two to trade as Aldridge said. All reports are that trade talks are quiet. And now the report is that the Magic are looking at keeping him.
People keep saying "He's doing this for leverage" "Oh Henny is starting a bidding war, how smart!" "This is just for leverage" "He's waiting to get the real deal that is
obviously coming any minute now...any minute now" "Leverageeeee". I wish they would stop and consider maybe Henny has nothing to do with this. Just like he had no real final say in the coaching hire and the actual meaningful interviews went to Martins and RDV, all these trade ploys could very well be instructions by RDV because he still wants to keep Dwight. People act like because Otis is gone we can expect the best and most logical moves now..but Martins and RDV are still at the top. These are still the same people that promised Dwight help so he would sign the extension and then never did. The same people who keep Otis around for so long. As long as Henny doesn't have complete power, the FO is still doomed to poor management (and the emotions of a 86 year old man)
