VC4P, great post

I'm becoming more indifferent about Darko. I just don't want a guy like him stinking up our roster chemistry, which I think is going to be amazing this year. I'll take Nazr, who's a true vet and has played on championship teams before. I'll even take Shelden Williams back if that's a possibility.

BTW, it would be something if the Heat snagged Darko. That would make their starting lineup the #1, #2, #4, and #5 picks from the '03 draft (+ super mario). No way Joel Anthony would beat out Darko for a starting spot IMO.

Well, Hollins and Nazr are off the board. Darko is still available, but doesn't seem to have us at the top of his wish list (Heat, Mavericks). Oden would be a great option to bring along slowly from the bench, but I'm not sure he'll contribute anything this season.

Blatche DID clear waivers, and I think we should make a vet's min offer for him. Guys with Andray's length, strength and skill usually flame-out if they haven't firmly established themselves yet. BUT, every once in a while, you get a late-bloomer a la Jermaine O'neal, and AB is only 25. For a cheap one-year deal, you couldn't ask for a better low-risk, high-reward bigman.

Otherwise, it might be worthwhile to see if we can work out a S&T with PHX for Brook's brother. We have a TPE that we could use similar to the way we acquired Reggie Evans. And at this point, Robin might not be able to find a bigger paycheck/role than what we would offer (3 years, $5mil).

My priority list:

1) Chris Andersen
2) Andray Blatche
3) Kyrylo Fesenko
4) Darko Milicic
5) Robin Lopez

If Lopez were unrestricted, he would probably be #3. But PHX will want something for their RFA. Even a 2nd-rounder is too much to pay for him, unless all comparable alternatives are off the table.
