Victor Sada

Post#1 » by Kenneth23 » Tue Jul 24, 2012 8:14 pm

According to Spanish newspapers and Hoopshype, Memphis and Houston have interest in Victor Sada, point guard of Regal Barcelona. He's a defensive-minded pointguard, a real teamplayer, does everything what he is asked to do. You've to see further than his statistics because he's better than his statistics show. And he's very good friend of Marc Gasol

Has anyone of you guys heard anything about this?

First time hearing this news. The Grizz are flooded with PGs already. No room to take on anymore.

Yeah - it's looking like the last spot will be filled by Haddadi or another big on the cheap.

I hadn't heard about SADA since they went after Shved allegedly.. all speculation though. could be their agents just stirring up buzz. It's only that Sada and Marc Gasol spoke in the media about playing together I think.

It could be just rumors but I just posted it because I wanted to know what you guys thought about this. I've read lots about Sada and Memphis.Sada has said that Memphis was one of his option and that he would like to play in the NBA together with Marc, who is Sada's best friend

Well, we just dealt Pargo for Kennedy. Could be true.

Pargo was the odd man, Bayless will be Conley´s backup and I can see TA´s backup minutes being split between Selby and Ellington, while Wroten plays in the D-League

I thought Bayless was going to play SG instead of PG. I think Tony Allen, Jerryd Bayless and Wayne Ellington will share the minutes on the SG.

At the point you have Mike, Josh and Tony( Wroten). But Wroten will spend time in the D-league to develop further. So I think that Sada would be a good back-up because he has a lot of experience in Europe and with the NT.

And I strongly believe that Marc will talk to the management if he really wants his friend at the Grizzlies

The set up will likely be

Conley/Bayless/Selby
Allen/Ellington/Wroten

Pargo was just traded. So it wouldn't make much sense for the Grizz to acquire another PG when they just traded away Pargo to stay under the cap.
