No, but Teheran is close.

Teheran is more highly regarded, isn't he? BA has him at #5 overall.

Does the fact that one of the reasons that Aramis signed with the Brewers in the first place -- to not have his kid move far away for school (or is his kid still in the same Chicago school?) -- make it hard to trade Aramis?

Or do we have a snake in the grass in Melvin?

Stock's taken a hit this season. He's struggled with command and he's homer prone in AAA.

I don't know why that would be an issue. Ramirez didn't take a discount to play in Milwaukee and this is a business.

Would love to snag Andrelton Simmons in a Greinke deal.

Unless he's a defensive wizard that I do not know about, no thanks.

He had half as many HRs in the majors as he did in his entire minors career. He's really young, but he's a flash in the pan, IMO.

EDIT: I guess he was a 2nd round pick.

Maybe if Greinke accepts a long term deal but Simmons is worth more than a rental.

I don't know about his D, but he's hit at every level. Including so far in the majors. I don't really care much about HR at SS. He's putting up a .788 OPS in his first ML action at age 22. That's pretty solid.

I don't know a ton about fielding stats, but he's at a 8.1 UZR and 33.5 UZR/150.

Simmons D is regarded as about as good as it gets. That's a big reason why he isn't available (as far as I know).

If texas really wanted to make a splash, they send Olt to Miami for Johnson and then Profar to Brewers for Greinke

Greinke, Harrison, Johnson, Darvish and Lewis is one hell of a rotation

Source: #Dodgers deal for Victorino or Pence possible even if team gets Dempster along with H. Ramirez. LA has been in talks with #Phillies.

Christ. They're begging to take on salary.

I don't think they're in the market for two starters. You forgot Oswalt.

If #Dodgers can't complete deal for Dempster, they have Zack Greinke and Josh Johnson on their list, as well, sources say.

Why do I fear Melvin will try and make a deal centered around Dee Gordon (the SS version of Gomez)?

The Braves love Simmons, there's no way we'd get him in any deal for Greinke guaranteed.

Yeah, my apologies for undershooting Simmons. I saw his minors numbers a while back and didn't realize they were ages 20-22. For a 26 year old, those would be garbage offensive numbers.

Oswalt is having back issues and might not be counted on.

Gomez can at least play defense.
