Patterson will start over Motiejunas. I see him having a monster year.
If Asik is as good as ppl say he is, Patterson/Asik is gonna be a top defensive duo in the league.

Include Parsons and that frontcourt is give teams headaches...

I get a feeling Martin is going no where, and is gonna have a rebound year. Avg 24ppg

those 24 pts will be at the expense of the development of Lamb, Lin and Parsons. Martin can have his rebound year somewhere else.

How so? Martin only plays 2 guard.
Parsons development didnt stutter with Bud, Twill, Martin, & Morris last year did it?

Really don't think Lamb needs all 48min to himself to develop...
If anything playing with & vs a crafty(yes) vet like Martin can help Lamb.

The better he plays more we get... I hope

Edit: Shelby was after the 24 hour deadline... so no future cookies in the event Shelby wakes up.

For these picks, they are close... but not quite there. You get NO Cookie.

Cookies are never given, they are earned.
Close is not good enough.

Vaughn was not a 5th option/5th best player so no cookie.
Also I assume you are a KU fan, and KU wins a lot, meanwhile my Buckeye don't win sh*t = NO cookies for KU fan!

I misread the fifth best player line. Woops :)

I lived in Lawrence Kansas for 15 years, that school got me two degrees. I suppose I kinda have to be a fan.

Not minutes but the shot attempts Martin takes can go to Lin, Lamb and Parsons.

I honestly never thought of that. I sometimes forget that pat pat is good defensively and before parsons he was the one that guarded melo and lebron

Parsons/pat pat/Asik is insane defensively

Also do you think that Martin would be slotted in as sixth man in order to allow Lamb playing time and room to develop? It's obvious that Martin is going to be traded and isn't part of the future, so I feel because of his offense a sixth man role might be more appropriate?

I think that we have to remember that we're the team that uses the D-League to actually try to develop young players who may not get a lot of PT to get them acclimated to playing at the next level.

I don't think that Motie will start in the D-League, but I do think that with that mentality the Rockets are likely to bring him off of the bench until he's comfortable in the NBA game.

The job is his for the taking.

And I don't think that Martin comes off of the bench for many of the same reasons as above. Lamb will be eased into his role; but the Rockets need to let Martin shine in the early season to get that trade value up.

Patterson/Martin start the season as starters; but I will not be surprised if Motie/Lamb finish the season as starters.

Too many players under contract, Rockets will have to make some more trades for picks or 2-for-1 types.

So whats the problem?

Those guys with non guarenteed contract wont make the team. The 15 players with contract will be the one to stay

Bobcats fan here would you guys do Patrick Patterson for a 2014 2nd maybe 2015 too? I know we would probably still stink in 2014 pick could be in the 31-35 range(most likely)

right now patterson is a legit backup pf and spot minutes at center. not many 2nd rounders can do that

lol you were the one complaining about McHale using Patterson as a center in the 4th quarters when Cambert was on the bench.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

i was a strongly against patterson at center at the end of the **** game cuz i thought we had a good chance to get in the playoffs. that doesnt mean i think he's useless tho. but now w/ all these young guns i dont care, let him finish the game as the bbg, lets get on the path to a top 3 pick :D

The Rockets still have a bout 80 forwards and 1 Center and 1 PG.
