Jersey design (2nd design added)

I like the thought of what you're doing here...but I don't have PS so I can't show you...

But I was thinking of just having the lettering of Raptors and the number, and what looks like a claw marks ripping the jersey on the side at an angle...like a Raptor clawed the jersey...I think it would look SICK.

i really like that idea, it could look like this in red....

I really like that but if the jersey was black it would look nice...

People want the jersey to look as clean cut/ professional as possible but I also think there's room for some cartoonish appearance. There's gotta be a middle ground with a team name like the Raptors.

What i like most about the design is the fact that its unique, no other team and any jersey that resembles it.

I'd like to see you re-do this design, keep this shade of red and the claw slashes, but move everything on the front of the jersey down just a bit. Lose the pinstripes entirely. Change the font for "Raptors" on the front and the numbers to a more professional font, and get rid of the triangles above the name. I'd really like to see the result, it could be pretty awesome.

i don't get it...
most teams are going for a 60s/70s vintage look. we shouldn't be going for a mid-90s vintage look.

if you want vintage, create a faux flashback 1970s disco vintage. that would be fun. or figure out a 1950s design.

i just HATE that 1990s zubaz RAPTORS font. it should die a quick death.

Just playing around. After being asked to swap the colours of the old jerseys in the other thread it got me interested in trying to mix the old jerseys with something new, since the majority of the board have problems with the purple and the stripes. I thought it would be a fun thing to try out and see what people think.

I couldn't do much about the logo. There's not much Raptor related imagery that can make for a cool looking logo so I just went with whatever looked best.



EDIT: Since a lot of you didn't like the claw, I tried to make my own logo from scratch.

I agree that the jerseys look feminine in terms of the fitting btu i don't think that's what you were going for anyways. I like the overall look, but would suggest doing a purple version, make the Raptors on the front bigger and move it down to the center of the jersey. Incorporate the claw part in to the O in Raptors or use the basketball with the dino on it for the O, move the number to the opposite shoulder aligned with the NBA logo. On the back, just get rid of the triangles.

Make it purple with white pinstripes for the road, white with purple pinstripes for home. Just regular pinstripes and not the lightning bolt style.

Just my two cents but that's not to say what you did was not good.

When I get home I want to try making the pin stripe Jersey with Toronto Blue colours(Jays and leafs colours)

I would add the Dino logo to the first one and call it a day...could even add in the lightning bolt pinstripes if you want. Love the color choice and format of the jersey.

Good question. Raptors HQ probably messaged RealGM's management to suspend him for making Jerseys and logos way better than their own design artists and putting them to shame.

What if on the black it was a large silver claw starting from the base of the jersey extending from 4-11 with a part of the basketball cut off (like an eighth)

hate that 2nd one in the original post. It's too fake looking too me, like the throw back style ones would be nice to see that. Maybe if The Raps play The Clipps this year we should have a Huskies vs Buffalo Braves game
