Rubio / Ridnour / Barea / Conroy
Roy / Shved / Lee
Kirilenko / Budinger / Hummel
Love / Williams / Cunningham
Pekovic / Stiemsma

* Once Rubio is back and healthy trade Ridnour for something, anything.

if williams has a not so impressive/poor training camp then his value is really gonna go completely down the toilet i think(it's half way down already). gotta believe that bud is in front of him in the depth chart at the 3 after rick's comments at the summer league and with ak starting i'm really thinking he'll only continue to see back up 4 minutes and the odd 3 when bud plays the 2. if this move doesn't light a fire under him to bust his tail for a place in the rotation then nothing will, as a whole i like the fact that everyone at all the positions are gonna have guys pushing them at their own spots, getting after it in practice and trying to take each others places.

i agree with vin's rotation though i'd be looking to move barea as he has the longer, more expensive contract and his game is much more similar to that of shved.

We all think that this move will be possible only when Rubio be 100 % ready.
But JJ contract too bad, and I hope that Khan should find ways to dump it all time.

With Derrick Williams losing 25 pounds wouldnt that be a sign that he is aiming at playing small forward? Or does that not affect his role as a power forward?

He'll still be fine at PF, he's slimmer now, a little quicker it looks like - plus his ballhandling is really good. Wouldn't mind seeing if we can try to turn him into a James Harden-lite slasher off the bench.

Rube/Ridnour
Shved/Roy
AK47/Budinger
Love/DWill
Pek/Steimsma

Rotation actually means they are going to play....Gonna have to find a solution to the Ridnour v. Barea problem. They can't both get minutes and I doubt either will sit on the bench quietly. Everyone else on the team is waiting for an injury to get minutes.

I expect JJ and Luke are a luxury that Adelman's going to want to hold on to for another season. It would be reckless to make any assumptions for Roy's health or Shved's contributions. If one or both of those come up short - especially before Ricky comes back - Luke and JJ could see a lot of minutes, even at the same time. We have a ton of depth at PG and forward, but there isn't anything we can count on for quicker perimeter defenders.

To start the season:

Ridnour/Shved
Roy/Barea
AK/Bud/Williams
Love/Williams
Pek/Stiemsma

When Rubio comes back/later in the season:

Rubio/Barea
Shved/Roy
AK/Bud/Williams
Love/Williams
Pek/Stiemsma

I'd only flip Shved & Barea.

Ideally I like Roy off the bench leading the second unit and then playing big minutes in the 4th quarter -- especially when Rubio gets back. Not sure if Shved is ready to start at the 2 though.

Love this tweet. It is right on. Besides the basketball skills that these guys, plus Shved and Stiemer, bring to the table, there will be a huge culture change that we desperately need.

Um, don't wanna jinx it but if injuries don't happen and Rubio recovers fine this team is looking real good

injuries will happen b/c they always do, but the difference this year from last is that we've set ourselves up to stay competitive through injury by adding depth. Losing Rubio last year meant the playoff push was over, now we have 2 more playmakers on the perimeter. If 1 guy goes down, we should still be competent.

They'll have ~$17 mil in cap-space if they choose to go that route and decline team options on Babbitt, Smith, Williams.

If Blazers want to make a big offer we may try and pull the Asik gambit and have him wait it out the entire free agency to sign the offer sheet, stalling the Blazers ability to make moves elsewhere. I think Pekovic really enjoys it here - we should be able to coach him up before free agency next year.

Pek seems to have a really close relationship with Sikma. If we have the year we are all hoping for there would be little reason for him to want to go elsewhere.
