Michael Ruffin
Michael Ruffin is a husband, father, and basketball coach in the Denver area. He was born and raised in Denver and graduated from Cherry Creek High School. He played basketball for the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma, and obtained a degree in Chemical Engineering. There he recieved the NCAA Top Eight Award as one of the top student athletes in Division I Sports. He was also named on the First Team as an Academic All American.
In June 1999, he was drafted to the Chicago Bulls. He would spend the next 11 years on various NBA and Spanish teams. Michael was known for his hard working and professional approach to basketball. His teammates frequently noted his work ethic and discipline as a reason for his long standing NBA career. In 2010, he helped the Colorado Kings as an interim head coach before returning to Spain to play basketball. He currently coaches youth basketball in the Denver area.
Michael is passionate about coaching and quality in athletics. He is a leader in both his home and community reciveing various commendations for his work in community service. Michael believes in hard work and professionalism.
