Morris has developed a nice mid range stroke, he was scoring at will yesterday. I'm really disappointed in Goudelock he looks terrible in the summer league.

I like Morris at the one as well but Mike Brown will never give him that chance with Nash and Blake, if he gets any minutes it would be at the 2 at this point and he's a million times better at penetrating the D than Blake is, however he holds the ball too long so in this offense he's probably better suited getting some playing time at the 2.

Jamison had a 2-yr,$8 m offer to play for his hometown CHA. But agent Makhtar N'Diaye's reminder about will to win pushed AJ to choose LAL.

Great signing. Haven't watched Summer League, but from last season Goudelock was infinitely more productive than Morris so I'd still keep G-Lock over Morris.

yeah he was but let's not forget Morris is going to improve much more quickly than G-Lock. G-Lock is just a shooter while Morris has a much more complete game. Not to mention i'm looking at this from a defensive standpoint. Morris is 6 feet 5 while G-Lock is 6 feet 2 and absolutely cannot guard the bigger 2s in the league.

Morris was trash last season. Poor decision-making and generally looked confused on the court. Goudelock at least has a well-defined role and fills it well. Morris I'm not so sure about.

I wouldn't judge these guys based on summer league play.

true but G-Lock can't play PG and Brown won't play him at the 2 because he finds him to be a liability on D. Brown prefers playing Blake at the 2 instead of G-Lock so that should tell you. I'm just saying I don't see the harm in trying Morris at the 2 then were he wouldn't be there to run the offense.

I remember Makhtar playing in the D-league in 2006. He was kind of like DeAndre Jordan physically and game wise as well. Didn't know he turned out to be an agent.

Bring back Hill and give Lee the whole MLE

Nash/Bryant/MWP/Gasol/Bynum or Howard
Blake/Lee/Ebanks/Jamison/Hill

If Mitch stays true to his word, we likely won't be using the mini-MLE this offseason. All signings from this point forward will likely be for the veteran minimum.

That was before the Dwight trade(they insist we take Richardson)....if the deal is done and we take only Howard in return I could see a deal for a backup wing(ideally who can play both backup SG and SF)
taking shape....even with the MMLE

Steve Nash or John Stockton

Post#215 » by diplan » Thu Jul 26, 2012 7:56 pm

Antawn Jamison had some big words for his new teammates at his official introduction to the Lakers Wednesday morning. Jamison compared Steve Nash to John Stockton and shared his thoughts about his change from an opponent to teammate of Kobe Bryant.

Guys do you think that Steve Nash will end with better numbers that Stockton?
