Also thanks to all that have taken part of sharing the video to bring the views up, everyone said really nice things about my son. I appreciate it.
That is going to be very exciting for your son. And no, you would not be a douche for asking for a signed Knick Jersey. Have your son ask for tickets for the entire family to the Knicks vs. Houston game also.

Re: All Lin talk here
To the guy who made "Lin/ Fields - Good Riddance" thread
1.) Can't go left? You did not watch games, just fed whatever SAS spewed. Sure he's more comfortable going right, but saying he can't go left is pure garbage. He went left plenty of times including this one (0:27) going around 3 Kings defender on his left hand alone and made a lefty layup... Stop feeding into media's analysis and make YOUR own evaluation

2.) Ugly turnover rate? He still averaged lower than:
- the FA Knicks fans and many teams craved for (Steve Nash - 3.7 TPG),
- the best PG in NBA (Deron Williams - 4.0 TPG)
- CP3 averaged 4.5TPG in second round sweep loss against Spurs
Doesn't matter if your coach's name is D'Antoni, if you're a star PG and runs an NBA team's offense, you're bound to make lots of turnovers because the ball is in your hands a lot. Judging a PG's values based on his turnovers is foolish. Point guards make a lot of them, the best of the best (Point Gods) make even more.
3.) Limited athleticism? Owner of one of the most explosive first steps, spin move that equaled D-Rose and shot release that's quicker than Ray Allen. He increased his vertical leap and is not done yet because freak keeps working out and keeps getting better. He is strong and can absorb contact to make and-1s or go to FTs. You talk about limited athleticism, happy he's gone, happy Raymond Felton is even more earth-bound, and J-Kidd can't even go into paint anymore?
4.) Poor defender? He probably led the L in ball strips without fouling. He shut down Jennings in Bucks game.
5.) Ran pick and roll with Tyson just fine. And played well with Amare when he came back and regained his form.

Ha! Don't you mean Knicks jersey a la Cavs fans burning Lebron's jersey ha-ha, I'm actually a little surprised there aren't any vids like that on YouTube with all the spewing on Lin's name by media.
Cariyip, for sure I plan to ask his permission, I don't intend to post it on YouTube just have it for my son to watch when he gets older, should be awesome to look back on. What an experience for him. Thanks again for the kind words.
To the guy that made the last Lin thread saying" good riddance" to a high character guy with a HUGE upside, dude stop listening to the radio and go back and watch Linsanity! Stupid comment, you don't let an asset walk out the door! But we're trying to move on, if you're going to make up stuff to make yourself feel better about Lin's departure, please do it with your shrink and not on this board. Thanks!

Lin and Chandler are lying! Or CAA did it. Someone must be responsible.

Buh, buh, but Carmelo is selfish! He should have reached out to Lin and Assistant Coach D'Antoni made Tyson say that! He had too!

This decision should clearly illustrate how much of a joke the Knicks are as a franchise. I truly think LittleJimmy is one of the all time worst owners in all of sports.

What happens to Linsanity (referring to the buzz, not Lin himself) if the Rockets don't get a lot of nationally televised games?

people have twitter. if the team overachieves they will be put on national spotlight more. there is espn and sport center and nba.com. yes there was the NY factor but it isn't as big as everyone makes it out to be. in this social media age people are connected from everywhere. NYC or not if he is playing well and the team is playing well people will hear about it

I think Jlin's twit to Carmelo that touched Melo's heart was probably something like:
Melo, I've signed with Houston. The ball is all yours.

Jeremy Lin on Jim Rome's show:
He said he had three goals for this offseason:
1) Strengthening lower body to prevent injuries - somewhat worrisome that he's had two knee surgeries, but I hope he's completely healthy next season
2) Practice catch and shoot - sounds like Jeremy will play some SG this season, what we could have had with JKidd at PG and Jeremy at SG
3) Work on his left - I have no doubt he will do very well driving, passing left
Sigh, this pisses me off

He seems to do something every off-season. He doesn't just work out blindly. He creates this meticulous development plan with his trainers each off-season to address specific areas he wants to work on. Last off-season, he focused on his shooting and building bulk to be able to take contact and still finish with And-1s.
He's got this whole team over at Sparta that uses these computer measurements to help him plan out what muscle groups he needs to focus on to create specific improvements on the court.
I think his off-season shooting coach mentioned during the all-star break that they had already made plans to focus on his catch-and-shoot this summer, as a natural progression from his 3pt/jumper focus from last summer. So Jeremy Lin seems to plan out months in advance what he needs to improve each off season, complete with a meticulous training regime drawn up before each season ends. Training smarter, and not just training harder.

Re: All Lin talk here
Didn't want to start a Toney Douglas thread so posting here but it was sorta funny hearing him being interviewed on Houston radio station and the first question he was asked was:
"Do you hate Jeremy Lin? I mean... the guy just won't leave you alone. You thought you got rid of him.. "
LOL.
Of course, we know Toney is a genuinely nice guy so he said he doesn't hate anybody. He's not that kind of person.

Should have spent the entire summer working on his handles.
