Would you prefer Duncan for 11M/year or Ryan Anderson for 9M/year?

CP3 and Dwight could still wind up in Orlando on max/near-max deals next summer as UFA's.. Yea, I went there.

Not saying one guy is better or that another guy means more to a team. I still think Duncan is effective, he just can't be counted on to go 40 minutes and five you a 30-15 in a big game anymore. He plays a much more conservative role and I think that 9 mil is a good deal for someone of his talent to play 28 minutes per night. At 15 mil, I would be scratching my head though.

cyberx (supposed insider) at ClutchFans:
from sinr1 at LakersGround:
Posters over there speculate that it's Ebanks.
Hearing that if you see Devin Ebanks sign his deal, then the Lakers are out.
It is obvious that he is being held for the deal. They agreed on everything but haven't signed yet...
from sinr1 at LakersGround:
Ok, here's the deal. It's getting close to 2pm and I'm already all cards in. Someone I've known forever knows a lot of people in Hollywood, they know a couple players, blah blah blah. Anyway, he was partying with a player (can't say who) that says they have a meeting today, this after noon, to get clarity on their standing with the Lakers. This meeting is supposed to be Howard related. From what I was told, the player will find out if he will need to pack up his **** or if he will be staying in L.A.
Posters over there speculate that it's Ebanks.

Chad Evans @ChadEvansNBA
I was told "Rob has a plan. He knows what he's doing. He wasn't going to give exact details with Fegan in the room to leak information"
I knew that stuff was BS! Rob had to have a plan. He's not an idiot!

My personal prediction? Dwight ends up with the Lakers unless Rob can pull off a miracle.

Wow I was gone for almost 2 weeks with no way of getting info about the Dwight situation & was praying to come back to some good news...
But seriously almost nothing has happened in that time?

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. XLII Off-Season Edition
If you buy Chad Evans...
Chad Evans @ChadEvansNBA
Spoke to my Magic source today. Says a lot of what's being reported about the Dwight meeting is inaccurate.
Chad Evans @ChadEvansNBA
Dwight never said he would never sign another contract with Orlando, he simply didn't back off his trade demand.
Chad Evans @ChadEvansNBA
He wants change, just hasn't seen any yet. Although it's extremely unlikely that he remains with the Magic past the trade deadline.
Chad Evans @ChadEvansNBA
It is definitely possible that Dwight starts the season with Orlando.

You probably know more about it than us by not being beaten over the head with false rumors for the last two weeks. Save yourself.

Hahaha it was actually pretty nice not having to hear anything about it for a little while, or getting my hopes up at every little rumor.
I def thought I would come back to a lot more than the same bs though.
