I think most people will only recognize the references, but won't understand them. I don't really understand what's going on, even though I know what most of the references are.

GDP per capita is used to determine the standard of living in a given country. GDP is used to determine size of economy which is what I was arguing. Right now our economy is healthier so we have a much better per capita however, they have a much better purchasing power.
