He said he had three goals for this offseason:

1) Strengthening lower body to prevent injuries - somewhat worrisome that he's had two knee surgeries, but I hope he's completely healthy next season
2) Practice catch and shoot - sounds like Jeremy will play some SG this season, what we could have had with JKidd at PG and Jeremy at SG
3) Work on his left - I have no doubt he will do very well driving, passing left

Sigh, this pisses me off

When did he have knee surgery before. He only had one knee surgery and that was the one he had this year. He said it himself that that was his first surgery.

More media nonsense, Carmelo is a jealous ballhog that was afraid his spotlight was going to be stolen. Can we get Gallo back?

He's only had one, but he did wear the knee brace type item because he's had a knee injury before, but no surgery was needed.

This thread was seriously a great idea. It was getting ridiculous. Just when you thought every possible angle of dissection had been exhausted, someone would come up with something else and make a new thread. At this point I'm rooting for him to have a crappy year for the boards mental health sake. I didn't like it when it happened, but it's time to move on.

Felton/Kidd/Prigioni. Let's go to war.

Felton plays like he did here before, we're in good shape. Maybe Prig shows us something, the guy seems to have the requisite point guard package. Kidd in a backup role, we're actually in pretty good shape overall depth wise.

"Believe it or not, I was one of the true supporters of Jeremy Lin,’’ said Anthony, whose U.S. team opens play tomorrow against France, “whether it was staying or going to Houston. That’s not something I go out and brag and broadcast about. After he signed with Houston, I talked to him. He texted me. It was a great text. What he sent me meant a lot.’’

Eat a d*ck DocZ and all the haters.

I think it is ok for people to like Lin still and hope he does well, even if a Knicks fan. What is REALLY getting on my nerves is people throwing Felton under the bus, and hoping the Knicks do bad, to prove a point about it being a mistake not matching with Lin. If you are now rooting for Felton to do poorly, keep making fat jokes about him, and act like that Lin Tiawanese show does, you are not a Knicks fan.

It is ok to like Lin and the Knicks, and also Felton.

And on that note, what do you get if you are right, where the Knicks end up being a disaster because they didn't match with Lin, a cookie? You know, anyone who does that, and then comes on here to gloat, will look like a troll, subject to a suspension or permanently being waived.

Judging from Melo's comments, him and Lin were going to be just fine. Had Lin re-signed, they would have cleared the air and no one would have had doubts about their relationship.

Lin & Melo > Westbrook & Durant

This is the same Melo that claims to have told D'Antoni to play him. I think we should take what he says with a grain of salt. Like we do with what Isola and SAS "reports". Lin on Jim Rome, when asked if he thought Melo wanted him back, he said he didn't know.

He said that he didn't want to speak for Melo (which makes sense), but that Melo had always been nice/positive towards him, etc.

Nobody has to worry about Lin making us look stupid. He has no one in Houston to take pressure off him. Teams will be gameplanning for him. Top tier PGs like CP3, Westbrook, Nash, Williams, Rondo, Dragic, Parker, Irving, Rubio, etc will destroy him every time out. Those awkward floaters and clumsy jump shots aint gonna fall like they did in NY. He will be exposed and will end up getting benched by the All Star break. Book it.

So the Rockets are going to bench Lin for Toney Douglas? If the Rockets don't have a suitable PG answer, Lin isn't going to get benched, no matter how poorly he plays.

of course they will because that's how the logic of the butthurt works. dudes are salty for no reason. we could have had him, along with all of the guys on the roster. the owner didn't want him. whether they like it or not, the villains are the owner and the so called "captains" of this team who's ass he saved. linsanity doesn't happen, and these guys would have been praying to gtfo of new york.

I just want to vent on what I've seen transpired as I'm reading some of these reports and articles from the New York media and the "TMZ of sports" Bleacher Report. I feel as though all these outlets are trying to blame Carmelo for Lin's departure. I just want to directly adress those who believe this gossip garbage.

All these 'sources' and pathetic excuses for articles are just the media's way of trying to paint Melo as a villain. This appeals to the broad audience of circa February 2012 bandwagon fans who wanted the Knicks to blow up the franchise and build around him.

Do you realize a large majority of true Knicks fans either don't care, got over, or are glad Jeremy Lin left? The only people who care are the bandwagoners who could give two **** about Knicks pride. Whats halarious in all of this is that these are the SAME 'fans' who wanted the Knicks to not match the offer because Woodson's offensive schemes and Carmelo's game would be detrimental to Lin's growth. Hell they even threw a hissy fit when the Knicks targeted Steve Nash in free agency. STEVE NASH.

It's not good enough that Lin left, they also have to drag Melo's name through the mud in the process. Meanwhile this guy is busting his tail representing our country in the grandest stage of athletics while Lin didn't even have the courtesy to accept team USA's invitation to play on the practice squad because he didn't have his fat contract first.

Aint nobody butthurt. Homepiss was all hype. Put together a handful of great games, he ran into Mario Chalmers, then Deron absolutely fried his ass and it was a wrap. Now we're supposed to be all doom and gloom because we let go a flash in the pan Ronald Murray 2 dude? Im glad hes gone so now we dont have to deal with his cultist fanbase bashing Melo everyday, take yo ass to Texas and good riddance.
