If your sources are right yeah its either Robinson or Fisher. I hope its Robinson or T-Mac.

First name that popped in my head was Derek Fisher. My source told me Robinson, Moore, Beverley and Fisher were the targets last week.

Hmmm a vetern point guard maybe Iverson I kid.

Hmm... That could be an interesting/intriguing one.. Thibs does have experience with lil Nate from the 2010 Celtics team so that could work out.. Nate was pretty damn good during the 2010 Celtics Playoff run too..

Shoulda just claimed him off waivers. It'd mean a guaranteed contract for the year, but he merits it.

UPDATE: The Chicago Bulls have been in contact with the agent of Tracy McGrady on a constant these past few days. McGrady is still interested in joining the Bulls and they Bulls would like to add him also. Let's see what happens.

The Bulls from what I've heard are actually looking for a player that could play multiple positions whether is PG, SG, or SF and the only player that fits that bill is T-Mac. The Bulls are exploring every option possible to fill out the roster. They also have there eyes on Moore and Thomas ( who is looking around for better deals).

Yea I been saying that for a while. No chance the bulls have two back up pg and neither have truly run an nba team and one used to play sg exclusively. Both Moore and Teague are rookies basically. As a scorer tho, Moore is pretty good so I'd still look at him.

I think them working out Rafer Alston and calling fisher is an indication of who they are seeking out.

I don't think tmac is a legitimate target or that he will be a bull. He isn't a pg or a big which is our biggest needs and can't hold anyone anymore, and we don't have minutes for him. He won't be happy playing behind Marco or jimmy.

Mike James type players seem like the best fits.

Tmac was getting 16 mins per game in Atl aound wasnt happy about it. If he even got 16 mpg on the bulls id be surprised.

Maybe the acquisition of TMac would ease the departure of Hamilton?

I'd be very happy with a McGrady acquisition. At least the guy can handle the ball and create his own shot. Personality aside, he's a good fit for this squad that lacks playmakers.

I think this would be almost ideal. Rip is going to be gone after this season no matter what, and if we are going to compete for a title at all this year, we won't be getting as much out of Rose as we usually do. Getting Tmac, a guy who could make plays with Rose would be beneficial. I think a team of Rose Belinelli TMac Deng Taj/Noah could be a very good lineup, particularly when matching up vs The Heat. Also, for the time period when Kirk is our starter, we would need a playmaker, because the Captain sure as hell ain't one. With Tmac we'd be a strictly halfcourt team, which isn't ideal with our defense, but I think the positives would outweigh that negative.

No one wants Rip. We tried and failed. We cant even dump him. He will be a Bull at least until the deadline.

Sam Smith maybe right on a Veteran PG but we already have Vets. This team needs balance.

Lots of rumors with McGrady all over the place now.

Thibs seldom plays rookies

he'll be lobbying to acquire vets

I kinda get the McGrady interest. He's definitely not what he was, but at this stage of his career, what he can do is really run a pick and roll.

Thibs was a defensive coach in Hou with JVG when T-mac was down there, so they have history together, and I doubt the FO would bring T-mac without his explicit blessing. Especially if you don't end up getting Thomas to sign, there will be a need for a bigger player and maybe T-mac would help there. And at least by the +/- numbers he graded out as a very good defender last year for houston.

This "Thibs rarely plays rookies" thing doesn't wash with me. Who wasn't he playing enough?

i meant during the season. Butler didnt get in as much last season. Of course, Deng seldom came out....

the season before, Johnson (although not a rookie) was out of the rotation.

Maybe it's just that Johnson was so bad

There is no clear #1 for a Backup PG at this point. Watson signing with the Nets was very premature deal. Think had he waited he would have received better offers or at least a team with more minutes. Just shows you how overpaid our backcourt was when Watson and Brewer only signed for the Vet Min.

I would prefer not to have Fisher. We need some young energy in here. Nate Robinson has always been the best fit here and gives us scoring off the bench. If not him, Moore is our 2nd best option.

coach Jackson of Warriors wants to bring back Nate (per local reports)

the fact that it hasnt happened means the GM is not keen on the idea
