I think Coach is just trying to rationalize his teams moves. I for one dont really mind, but when it devolves into name calling and the like (and it usually does) it just gets old. Both teams have made questionable moves and lost their stars in a similar fashion so there are a lot of similarities.
Naturally there are going to be comparisons in what the teams do in regards to their rebuild, and since there are more than a few people here who thought the team should have taken Val over TT its not surprising that Raps fans weigh in on that subject as well.

Heck, I've had people try to run me off of the Toronto forum for saying thing way less inflammatory than what they say here. In fact, as much grief as I got for being a strict mod I was mellower than the mods on half of the boards around here. No idea why Toronto fans are always so whiny and sensitive on here however. Fact is, every year they try to argue that they've had better picks than we have and only on rare occasions does that actually show up in the win column.

Raptors fans are allowed to weigh in but most of the time they have a hidden agenda.

This Raptor fan really likes how the Cavs have put their team together. I'm a fan.

Wasn't Grant part of the Hawks FO that drafted marvin williams 2nd overall? not suggesting that Waiters will be Marvin, just something to consider.

Yes, but I've learned since then, has Grant learned not to reach?

Also, this is one of the stupidest analogies I've heard, everyone **** their pants with no choice, It is a CHOICE to draft Marvin Williams 2nd overall...

Yes, but I've learned since then, has Grant learned not to reach?

Was Grant the final decision maker on that pick or the absolute steal they got the year before?
What was Grant's take on those two players behind closed doors?
If we know nothing about the Atlanta situation should we even try to make the gigantic reach needed to create some correlation?...and then only to the bad pick, ignoring the good one?

He was part of the organization that made that pick.

If you're going to play that game then say that David Griffin made the Dion Waiters pick.

Grant was hired by Ferry in July of 2005, the 2005 draft took place on June 28th of 2005, do you really think Grant was deeply involved with the selection of Marvin WIlliams? If anything, this points to Grant being against the selection.
Well at least we're not Detroit!
