I hope luol puts such a whoopin on team usa that the IOC will have to change olympic rules.

To limit the severity of said whoopin.

Someone needs to tell Westbrook that they can get better shots than contested pull up jumpers.

He is playing out of control. That was a ridiculous foul

Lebron dominating. Durant stroking it.

And maybe I keep missing it, but when was the last time Harden made a shot?

Hopefully, next time he makes an important shot...it will be as a Bull

Harden has not looked comfortable at all, he's used to handling the ball a lot more.

Kevin Love has also been poor. So much so, he almost looks like he doesn't belong.

His defense especially has been lax. I don't think he is a guy you give up several seasons of competing to set your team up to try to get.

Yeah, this kind of set in today.

Because of a Team USA game though? It's like when people were freaking out because Rose wasn't "taking over" and making that USA team "his team." He''ll never be a star playing like this

20 and 15 in 2011, 26 and 13 in 2012, averaged 31 and 14 in March this past season. Even if those numbers are inflated, Love is one of the Top 10-12 players in the league and only 23. He's worth it.

Missed the game though, but doesn't look like I missed much. I just wanna see one competitive game between USA and somebody.

Yi is always doing well internationally, but he struggles in the NBA due to that insanely slow jumpshot. That's really an area where Europeans have become much better in recent years.

No, of course not. That was his comment, I was just reiterating a point I already held.

As a player and in a vacuum yes he is 'worth having' . But we will have lost just as much talent, and probably more, talent, by the time you clear space to get him. That is really the bigger point.

Which is really not just true of him, but most stars that are short of say Dwight Howard impact level.

Fair enough, but could you explain a little bit more why? He's not a strong defender, but I don't think that trumps the rest.

See above. I think the Bulls have passed the point where we can build a team like we did in 2010 to compete with Miami.

Now that we have chosen (it looks like) to not be a high lux tax team, our only way to get back to that level that is within our finances, is going to be to restock some young talent.

That style plan is not totally incompatible with going after a Love, but I see no signs yet that we want to do that.

Love's lack of athleticism might also see him decline faster, much like Boozer. Not saying it's a certainty, but it needs to be said.

Yeah, but nothing he really does is athletic to begin with. Boozer's decline isn't even athleticism-related. Did he even play bad in today's game? Story says he had 14 points.

Disagree. He can't finish strong anymore, often doesn't get enough lift on his shots off drives and his first step is signicantly slower now opposed to two years ago.

But you're still right in that there's more to it.

Kevin Love just has to learn play smart like Brad Miller.

Return to Chicago Bulls
