With Dwight Howard reiterating his wish to be traded, multiple league sources believe the Orlando Magic will again step up efforts to find their All-Star center a new team.

Several of those sources told FOX Sports Ohio on Saturday they believe Howard could be traded by the end of the week.

Lol. It goes from one day reports saying he could very well start the season here and that the Magic aren't rushing into anything to reports that it's going to happen this week?? People just make crap up, I swear...

IF this is true....wouldn't that basically take Houston completely out of the running (even in a 3-way)? That would imply it would basically be the Lakers for Bynum or that Cleveland trash deal??

Not necessarily. The Rockets and Magic can come to an agreement on the terms of a deal (verbal commitment) and make it official a month from now. The Rockets have done this before when they traded Ron Artest to the Kings for Dante Greene.

I really do not see how that can happen. I do not see us dealing with the Lakers unless Houston is involved. And with the Rockets rookies recently signed, I just don't believe it. What else is there? I really do not think Henny wants Bynum.

I may get slammed for this comment but I think a trade with OKC makes sense for both parties. I would be happy with a package of S&T Harden, Ibaka, and Perkins for Dwight and JRich.

I have not worked the numbers to see if it makes sense financially but just to end the mess and give Orlando a starting point

Why would you get slammed? That is a nice deal. The numbers do not work though. The numbers do not even work if you take J Rich outa the deal either

According to this story apparently so..

An individual who is very close to the Dwight Howard-Orlando Magic fiasco said there isn’t any chance the all-world center will re-sign with the team after next season. Also, I've been told the Houston Rockets, who have coveted Howard, have no chance now of obtaining him. Racine Journal-Times

Well lets get ready to welcome Bynum and a late lotto draft pick, plus years of mediocrity......unless Bynum is moved to a 3rd team (NOT CLEVELAND PLEASE!)

I hope this is just more crap journalism speculation

So you went 1 for 20 - in fitting with some of the playoff shooting performances of Ryno or J-Rich over the last couple of years. You're a true Magician :D

Considering that Houston just signed their rookies and we can't trade for them until August 26th, if a trade goes down before then, it would be with the Lakers.

They are the only viable option until August 26th because teams like Golden State have seemingly pulled out of the running.
I like this team

I hope at least we still do a 3 way with Houston. Love their assets. Do you guys really think Howard would walk away from that extra fat year with Houston if he were traded there?

And I seriously doubt Hennigan would want to bring in Bynum, whom many consider a cancer, and potentially destroy Jacque Vaugh before Vaughn even gets a chance to succeed.

I think we're going to get really bad so we can get really good in a relatively small amount of time. Which would lead us to believe the deal with Cleveland and LA may go down.

OKC will definitely match any Harden offer. They will move Perkins and others if necessary to keep Harden and Ibaka. That core is not going anywhere
