...I never went to a Pacer game again or purchased any merch?
I'm leaning towards doing that. I've gone to every game in Sacramento and Oakland for the past 5 or 6 years and have been to a few in LA. I have 2 Granger jerseys, 2 Reggie Jerseys, and an Artest Jersey (was a gift). I also watch all the games on TV.
However, last time in Sac we were given a backstage pass after the game. My girlfriend asked Granger for an autograph and he refused because he was carrying a bag in one hand and a gatorade in the other. Like he couldn't put one down for a second. Paul George refused to take a picture with her.
My mentality is pretty much 'screw these guys'. I'm not sure I want to support the players as individuals. I'll still watch the games (streamed online). Bad fan?

I'd say not a bad fan but maybe a bad backstage pass carrier. I get access at Colts games to a suite which often has VIP guests. It's part of the deal that we're supposed to leave them alone and not ask for autographs or pictures although sometimes they offer. I suspect that may be an unwritten part of getting the pass you got too. if you'd been treated shabbily on a public street, I think I'd feel differently, but it feels like you may have invaded their space during their down time.

Sorry, I didn't make the backstage thing clear.
There were about 15 people who had the pass. We stayed on the court until about 30 minutes after the game or so. I was told it was a meet and greet thing. I didn't really care to do it but my girlfriend was all into it. Paul George came over and greeted people and signed other people's stuff. He refused to take a pic with my girlfriend. Other guys came out and signed stuff for the other fans. Granger was simply walking out of the tunnel when she asked him. It's weird. The fans are the ones who make you millionaires yet you refuse to give an autograph to one of the 10 Pacer fans that lives in California? I think it's bs.

I think you should give them a pass. They're human; and everyone has those days that they just dont care to be peoples persons. I know I do. Most ppl do. I met Granger in 2010; and he was a class act; taking photos; signing autographs; he even gave a couple of older ladies hugs. I've never met George so I couldnt comment on his personality. But you just never know what was going through Granger's mind at the time. I would say that 8 times out of 10 he would sign your autographs; take pics etc.

If I recall, that was a really bad dropped game in Sacramento. Most likely they just weren't in the mood.

Yeah, the Pacers really stunk it up in Sactown.
Lucky you were not expecting a high-five from DWest.

I agree, this looks like an isolated incident, that sucks it happened to you but our Pacers have one of the better images off the court in the NBA so I dont think there is any reason to hold a grudge. I do get where your coming from, though.
