My prediction about Anthony Morrow

Post#1 » by dtown8 » Tue Jul 3, 2012 1:27 pm

I have a feeling that Anthony Morrow is going to turn into a fan favorite for the Hawks, just like Flip Murry and Jamal Crawford.

He is not only a good shooter, but he is a fearless offensive player and i think just like with Jamal and Flip, Atlanta fans are going to be surprised that Morrow's defense is above average.

i just remember what Flip was able to do late in games when he had to defend PGs like Deron and Chris Paul for the Hawks and he did an admirable job. I see alot of that in Morrow last year with the Nets.

Deron and Paul Hewitt talked about Morrow's work ethic and says that he has a great one

I agree. I think Morrow will be a great addition for the Hawks. Like Jenkins, he is a great natural shooter and will help out tremendously if we can develop an inside presence (I.e. Dwight).

He doesn't rebound or pass or anything. A 10th or 11th man or best.

Terry is an ok passer. Flip and Jamal quickly wore out their welcome. Besides Jamal was a better scorer than Morrow. But it doesn't matter anyway since he is roster filler.

It should also be added that his shooting has got worse every year so far.

Paul Hewitt always said he was a humble, hard working guy. he also said that Morrow is a really quite, and that sometimes he would go a whole week and never hear him talk.

you guys are going to love Morrow.

He can't do anything except shoot, but he might be the best in the league at that.

Plus he's clutch as hell and very competitive/a great team guy.

Class act off the court as well.

WHAT?

He is probably the best 2 guard on the team. Period.

Morrow is pretty much just a role player. If he couldn't get it going on some of the worst teams in the league last couple of years (Nets/Warriors), then I can't see him turning the corner on a playoff caliber team. At best, he could be a spark plug off the bench like Jamal Crawford, but I don't think his ceiling is that high. Low risk, high reward player if used to his strengths off the bench.

he was just fine for his first 3 seasons in the league. I don't see how double figures while shooting high percentages from the field, 3 point line and freethrow line is "couldn't get it going".

He had one subpar season as a pro.
