Riley is looking pretty scruffy.

This is a good read. I'm not going to quote it, just read it.

Yeah, that was my thought... But what's the point on a player like him to tweet things like this if he had a setback?

Hopefully, it's good news.

That tweet could be about literally anything happening in his life, it doesn't have to be about the knee, and it sounds like it wasn't. Great news on the checkup though, can't wait till he's able to get moving around again and working on those skills.

(Ricky) Rubio hasn’t been cleared to run; that could come after the next scheduled update in mid-September. But (David) Kahn said he expects Rubio to be on the floor with the team, in some form, when training camp starts in October.

“At practice, he’ll hopefully be able to do some noncontact things,” Kahn said. “It’s very important for him and for our team that he starts the season traveling, practicing, that he’s here.”

He starts to run at mid-september hopefully. We can forget him until next year.

Forget him until next year? As in - don't have him play this year?

Keeping him out until January is probably the best decision if you think long-term.

We can compensate 2 months without Rubio with JJ/Luke/Shved and he needs a fully recovered and strengthened knee to make sure that type of injury doesn't happen again soon.
