Yep.

Willie Green for rights to Sofoklis Schortsanitis (and the creation of a TPE).

Interestingly written article.
Informative yet objective and biased at the same time.

I liked this:
Like pretty much every key Hawks reserve, Green struggled to score in the playoffs against the Celtics.

It might be true, but you really should never count on Willie Green for any significant offense. Also, I think he's solid if incredibly unspectacular. I like it for LAC, but I'm not sure that isn't 100% ex-Sixer bias.

To me ATL 'won' this trade, because not having Willie Green on your team > having Willie Green on your team.

Then again, Green will be the Clippers 5th guard, so who cares, really. They probably could have done worse I guess.
Still, the Hawks got a TPE for a player who isn't very good and they wouldn't have re-signed anyway.
Call it a win-win if you will, I probably just dislike Green more than I should.

Green is fine, but he's a lesser Lou Williams, and the Hawks had the equal Lou Williams, so no sense in keeping Green around.

Clips get a bench guard who can shoot a little; that should help with Mo and Foye and Nick Young all gone.

It seems that LAC will now pay the LT with this salary. Green does not appear to be worth the LT costs.

This site has them just under....

Besides they can always make moves to lower costs later on.

I think I am the biggest use sham/storytellers/... instead of hoopshype proponent. But they have done a very nice job of these temporary updates. I trust these, and tip my cap to what they have been doing. Off topic but its a willie green sign and trade thread so its okay, right?

I thought it was reported that Green was getting close to $2.0mm per year, which is lower than the the Hoopsworld salary chart.
