I just need a 4th free one. I'm doing:

UPenn (The really good school)
Pitt (Honestly hope I get in here and stay at the lab I'm at)
Penn State (Painful, I feel disgraced, but hopefully this is a safety school).

I may do University of Maryland as another, safer school - or go random like USC/Duke. I'm applying to masters of engineering programs instead of thesis-based masters because currently I want to go into industry, but I'm not 100% sold and it would not surprise me if I tried to transfer into the thesis program (PhD/MS) at the school I'm at or end up pursuing some sore of MBA-esque certificate. I'm hoping my abstract gets accepted somewhere (applying to the undergraduate poster portion of the biomedical engineering society's big yearly conference, so hopefully that will pan out and I'll get a trip to Atlanta).

Honestly it's a family thing. I don't think I'd want to be more than a day's drive away from home and my family and really everything non-pitt related about my life. Plus, most of the best biomed schools are on the east coast.

Apply to Maryland, their biomed programs are pretty good.

Also if you do a Master of ENgg you will have to pay your own way, which could be quite expensive especially if you have undergrad loans.

If you commit to a thesis it will enhance your chances of getting fee waivers or support from a faculty researcher. It will not in anyways prohibit you from getting an industry job either. Infact a thesis will convey that you have the focus and ability to see a project through to completion.
