That's gonna be crazy to comprehend.

I figured better the Nets than the Knicks. I've been going to a lot of Mets games and found them endearing, so I figured I could branch out into basketball too now that the Nets are moving in from New Jersey. And the way I see it, it will be a lot of fun to follow a young team in the building process again.

I'm actually in Queens by the way, so I was wondering, how far is Barclays Center from the LIRR Atlantic Terminal?

Nets are facing the Knicks at the Barclay's for the season opener.

This is terrible

How is it terrible?

If the Nets want to talk about having the best backcourt, it's time to prove it.

You know how much fanfare there will be if the Nets win the first matchup in Brooklyn?

Talk about starting the season off with a bang!

Just Bring It!!!

Um...the Nets have already sold 9600 SEASON tickets.

It's over 3 months before the season has started.

That place will be packed with Nets fans, trust me...

You do know most of those tickets were bought by scalpers? You really can't believe that they were all by Nets fans

Stop complaining.

The Nets have been running a campaign in which they've been trying to show everyone how the Nets are better than the Knicks in the community, in the media, in advertising and marketability, etc.

If there is any team that the Nets players want to play against to open the Barclays Center, it's the Knicks.

If we lose the game, so what. Fans remember what happens at the end of the season, not the beginning.

Not necessarily. First off, I'd say 1/4 of those tickets are for business people who have no interest in the game, except being there to entertain.

2. How many of those season tickets are sold to scalpers?

3. People who live in NY will bring their friends, and maybe one is a Nets fan and one is a Knicks fan, which could add up.

4. I doubt they actually sold that many season tickets. I don't believe it. Just like in 2010 when I bought season tickets, they said they had no location where I wanted because they were sold out. Yeah, okay. The upper level at the Prudential was 15% full for every game outside of Knicks, Heat, Lakers, and Clippers.

I find it funny that so many people rep the Nets so hard and when we find out we're playing the Knicks for the first game, people complain.

The mantra for Brooklyn (from Jay-Z) is "Brooklyn, we go hard!" and yet many fans wanted an easy lottery team to beat on the first night, so it would be nice, civil, and we'd have good feelings about winning the first game in Barclays.

That's so against what Jay-Z, Proky, and Brooklyn stand for. They're not avoiding anyone. They're going straight for your grill.

That's why I like the move. You go hard or go home.

It has nothing to do with wanting to play a lottery team. But, the last thing you want to see is your own players get booed on opening night of a brand new arena and team. It's not a good luck, especially on national television.

lol @ people not wanting to play the knicks cause they are "good and might win". knicks are a lottery team. especially with a healthy black hole in camello looking to chuck his team out of games.

were going to win opening night by 25+

More like people don't want to play the Knicks right away because if the Barclays center is filled with Knicks fans it'll be an embarrassment and a total failure for the Nets/Brooklyn identity right off the bat.

I think Yormack is thinking nationally. ONly those in attendance will realize how many Nixies showed up. On TV it wont come off as obvious. I would prefer NOT to have the Nix game one either. But...its done. Hopefully we get the support in Brooklyn day 1 that we never had in NJ when so many Nixies came to games. Or...it backfires so early on and we just made it EASIER for Nixies to show up!

So now that we have a full season schedule...do we have a release date yet for single game ticket sales?
