Who else got sad watching Snider say his goodbyes?

Post#1 » by Kapono » Tue Jul 31, 2012 4:28 am

Watching him say his goodbyes and packing all his stuff up... made me kind of sad.

I had such high hopes for him and invested a lot of time in following him from when he was a very young prospect.

How the Blue Jays have treated Travis Snider is downright criminal.

I'm not sad so much as mad.

I wonder if the team being invited to his house meant that he knew he was being shopped around

Yes very sad. So much time invested into him watching him reach his potential. All gone. For a rag arm who's having his first good year as a pro. :X

I was probably one of his harshest critics but even my heart dropped when and how
they traded him its pretty horrible how this organization has handled him from day 1.

Watching and waiting for 7 years and finally he's back and showing power and great defence and at 24 you hope that he's finally on the way like Colby and then he's gone for a reliever??
Devastating.
And then they get a reliever from Seattle who has give up 9 homeruns in 36 innings or so they say..

I kind of thought that too. I'm going to assume he was given a heads up that a trade might happen, and he decided to hold the BBQ as a last hurrah together.

I'll miss his "big time potential". I never thought he'd be a 30 HR guy, but I did always hold a place for him in my heart... hehe. Really, I thought IF he was traded, he'd get a legit starter or something... a bad SP but good RP isn't very high in my books, despite the crapiness of a lot of the Jays pitchers.
Good Lord, the little stoner's got a point.

Here's the clip:

To add to the mood, it's raining right now in Toronto.

The only reason I was bummed to see him traded was because he had been such a class act during the entire ordeal.

Let's hope the Pirates win the pennant!

is there anything lower than having a Pirates GM make you look bad?
