darren oliver hasn't pitched since FRIDAY

five friggin days ago. farrell saves him for situations like the 7th inning tonight and then doesn't even use him. what a crock of sh*t.

But Oliver has been our 8th inning guy for months now, and he's been great at it. Why all of a sudden use him to start the 7th?

great question...i don't know, maybe because we desperately needed to get through the inning unscathed to have a chance at winning the game? instead of calling him the "8th inning guy" (pointless designation imo), why don't we just call him "the teams best non-closing reliever", one that should be used in tight games, with the lead or not.

and again he hasn't pitched in 5 days. his arm wouldn't have fallen off if he tossed an inning and a third or more. now regardless of the score in tonight's game, oliver is most certainly going to get the call "so he can finally get some work in".

Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).
