More like people don't want to play the Knicks right away because if the Barclays center is filled with Knicks fans it'll be an embarrassment and a total failure for the Nets/Brooklyn identity right off the bat.

id want as many knick fans as possible. when their team is down 20 at halftime i can see a huge number jumping ship and becoming nets fans. what better way to start off brooklyn then to convert 2000 knick fans?

i guess. i dont see why though. knicks are basically a worse version of last years team and with carmello healthy you have a cancer for a full 82 games

September...Methinks probably the same week, as some sort of marketing scheme probably, as the new jerseys being released. (E.g., "Buy tickets to x,y, and z games; get a jersey.")

Preludepunk said that single game tix will be available in mid-September according to a Nets tix rep he spoke to.

Kris Humphries was the lead in the male revue at your bachelor party?

Well you still haven't shared and although we're disappointed it isn't pics of Hump in a "policeman's uniform" we're still all on the edges of our seats!

Last weekend my wife and I had our wedding reception. All during the whole planning process, I couldn't stop thinking about the Nets b/c of all the moves they made this offseason and I'm a lsoer who obsesses over them. So I came up with an idea to tie in the Nets to my wedding.

What's posted under here is the message in the frame that the guests read before signing the ball. All family members and friends had to autograph the ball before going into the hall. Underneath that is a picture of me holding the ball and my wife holding the framed message. This picture was also taken at the end of the wedding and we're both completely bombed.

Dear Guests, August 11, 2012

Please take a moment to read then autograph the basketball!

Anyone who knows Frank will sure enough know about his passion for basketball – in particular, the New Jersey Nets. The Nets have been his favorite team for as long as he’s loved basketball (just ask his family and friends). The Nets organization, however, is beginning a new chapter in its franchise’s history by making the move to New York and will be known as the Brooklyn Nets. As Frank too is beginning a new chapter in his life with Dana, he would like to commemorate both events by having something that will forever tie them together. Please take a moment to “autograph” the Brooklyn Nets basketball here to give both Frank and Dana a wonderful and unique keepsake from their wedding reception!

Thank you,
Mr. and Mrs. Frank -------------

The ball is now sitting in a case in my study along with the framed message. It really was a fantastic night and everyone loved this idea I had come up with.

Not really sure if this should have been posted in this thread or the Off Topic thread, please move if necessary!

Congrats man, and that's pretty damn cool haha.

Also you're a brave man for posting a picture of your wife. May God have mercy on her soon to be photoshopped soul.
