TV Q: No more FSN Lakers

Post#1 » by Mamba Venom » Fri Aug 3, 2012 7:07 am

W/ the new TimeWarner Lakers TV deal for the next 20 years, does anyone know if all the Lakers games will be available on Dish or other cable providers.

I think FSN and KCAL are losing all Laker games. Thanks for any help guys.

If you don't have TWC, expect them to gauge the hell out of your current provider for the rights. And yes FSN is history with the Lakers. Direct TV, Dish and Verizon better expect to pony up. And it's noway in hell they can play hard ball with TWC either, they know people want their Lakers.

Don't worry though, they'll just push that cost down your throat if you don't have TWC. Thank goodness I live in a TWC coverage area.

Time Warner just recently opened up negotiations to other providers if i remember correctly. may be it was a little longer than that. either way i haven't seen any reports of anyone coming to a deal with em.

WIish they'd just have an online stream you can pay for without paying for an entire cable network. Only thing I want to watch is Lakers.

If you have Dish Network, can you still see the Laker games?

I never liked the Laker games when they were on FSN. Always prefered it on KCAL with Chick Hearn. Those were the good old days.

Don't know if you guys care, but Joel Meyers is going to be the play by play of the Hornets.

good for joel and the hornets. ive always been a fan of his. hes a million times greater than bill mcdonald. but it does seem to me that most laker fans hate him. anyone care to agree or disagree?

Yes, they have to work it out with TWC. Here's the link: http://www.nba.com/lakers/news/101016fo ... twork.html

I actually liked Joel, it's too bad his surrounding Laker co host ( except Thompson) didn't get along with him. Spero side busted for his TV job, and the Lakers could've at least put him back on the radio side but went with Ireland aka Jimmy Neutron.....who sucks.
