As an aside when people refer to certain players as white. Namely Barea, Varejao etc. those players may not consider themselves "white" . Some Brazillians and Puerto Ricans take offense to that.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

Depends on how you classify white. The way we perceive these things in North America isn't the same everywhere. We far more hung up on race than some other cultures.

Unless you have any kind of any other race in you. Then you are that race.

ehh, lets try end this race topic, I only asked about what player he was referring to that was white because I honestly didn't know who he was talking about, wasn't trying to get a race debate going,

Varejao-Kirilenko-Rubio would be a killing defensive trio. Hell yes, I'd give up D-Will for him.

Re: More Moves to Come post Olympics?
Where would Varejao fit within our system? He's proven he can start (avg'd a double-double last season in 25gp) but with Love and Pek @ 4 and 5, the addition of Steisma, and Kirilenko's ability to play 3/4. Would Varejao just be an outstanding 4/5 backup?

What's wrong with having an outstanding backup?

They're useless

I don't expect Varejao to average a double-double again. He was the only big on that team really. With Pek & Love I think he'll come back towards his career averages of 7 & 7 while providing solid defense and energy.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt

I like Varejao, but it would be nice to have someone more athletic to catch lobs at the rim.

It would be nice, but it's not very important relatively speaking.

I think it's an area of need, but it's also something you can address in other ways, so I agree.

Apparently the GB and some Cavs fans haven't learned to read yet.

Re: More Moves to Come post Olympics?
Not sure if this trade works since I used the espn trade machine.
Wolves Out: Derrick Williams, JJ Barea, Dante Cunningham
Wolves In: Anderson Varejao, Richard Hamilton, Charlotte protected 1st
Rubio, Barea, Shved, Lee
Roy, Hamilton, Shved
AK47, Budinger
Love, Varejao
Pek, Varejao, Steimsma
Wolves get good energy bench big, and veteran wing, plus get what could be a pretty good pick.
Cavs out: Varejao, Casspi, Sacto protected 1st
Cavs In: Loul Deng, JJ Barea
Cavs get a legit 3.
Bulls Out: Loul Deng, Richard Hamilton, Charlotte protected 1st
Bulls In: Derrick Williams, Omri Casspi, Dante Cunningham, Sacto protected 1st
Bulls get out of a lot of money while getting prospects and swap protected 1sts.

AK can still guard SGs and if Love loses some more weight and improves his quickness, you can potentially slide him at the three and roll with this monster line-up:
Pek
Varejao
Love
AK
Rubio
a.k.a. All Your Rebounds Belong To Us.

Love cannot and will not ever be able to guard 3s

How about we don't overload Love and Pek with heavy minutes and try to keep them fresh and injury free for once.

they can make us a legit defensive powerhouse of a team.
