Sure, when I was in high-school, I got hooked up with a chick that from a friend, I got to know her before we met, she had an excellent personality, when I met her, I wasn't attracted to her at all, however after time being with her on a regular basis, I chose to find attractive things about her and thus became attracted to her.

Again that doesn't make sense to me. However, I'm not saying you're wrong because I'm not you and don't know how you felt. it would make sense if you involuntarily became attracted to that person after she revealed more of her personality, not you forced yourself to find things about her to become attracted to her.
