A youtube video of Melo playing in college against overwhelmingly non-NBA level talent is not going to prove any points

He's already shown he can be a willing passer...as recently as last year when he was forced to play point-forward in the beginning of the season.

I dont know why he gets a bad rep for his passing

Hes always been an okay passer, just a better scorer

He's been a good passer his whole career. He's no LeBron, but he's still a good one.

He's a good and willing passer when there is player movement around him. He's not going to direct the offense or make dynamic reads.

Also when he isn't surrounded by the Toney Douglas' and Landry Fields' of the world.

YouTube vids aren't the best to display someone's talents, especially one from college days.

Im sure I can find some Joel Anthony highlight mix.

I remember one play last year against I think the Pacers that was Lin to Melo to Amare for an easy dunk on a halfcourt set, lightning quick, all in under a second. Beautiful. He can definitely pass pretty well.

He's actually a great passer for his position. Not 5 guys in the NBA at forward are better.

I hate this perception that's developed that he just ignores open guys on the wing and barrels into 3 defenders. When he draws doubles, he passes out like he's supposed to.

I miss watching McNamerra.
That was a complete team effort by Syracuse that game, awesome game.

The only one-time I remember being mad at Melo for not making a pass, was that game vs Denver and he was triple teamed with 2 people open.

But he was easily forgiven when he made the shot that sent the game into OT

Yeah, he is a regular John Stockton.

63 FGA and 4 assists. But then again, he is not really playing with talented players.

His role for the team is to come in and score...

http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/playe ... l-forwards

He was 5th in APG for SF during the regular season.

Considering the balls is always in his hands that's not a good statistic.
Play time is over.
