He was the 27th pick in the draft and worked his way up from being a Bench warmer to the point where he was pushing Rip Hamilton, which made him expendable to the Nuggets. Of which, I am still angry with Joe Dumars for making that trade. Regardless, a true defensive specialist that has developed a very nice 3 point shot. A solid starter for most teams in the league.

Thanks for the description. Haven't paid much attention to Afflalo to be honest. It's nice to come here and get a quick recap of what he has done and can bring to the team.

Looks like this latest Dwight deal may happen. At least as of right now.

Strap in and hope we can at least net Bynum.

"May Happen"

Believe it or not, those are actually strong words for Jarrod.

Bynum + Afflalo + Cap space is good

Gasol + Afflalo + 3 picks + young players (eg :Quincy Miller/Moe Harkless/Evan Fournier) ---> Trade Gasol to a third team for a PF or Center + a pick

Don't get me wrong, I've been a huge fan of his. But he's not the player he was 2yrs ago ..

Well everything I just stated occurred during draft night 2012...

We also had Dwight going to 4 different teams in the last month, and yet he's still here ..

I've also read those rumors of Gasol, but I think If LA was really offered an all-star for Gasol, Gasol wouldn't be a Laker anymore

I got the same feeling, a feeling like he spoke with someone close to Dwight because we all know that's where he gets his stuff from, and they said it's imminent.

The Magic want Pau, and I understand that, but if Pau was the desired piece, why wait so long to ask for him?

I have lost about all respect for J Rudolph. I don't believe a single thing he says anymore because statements like this just reek of something Fegan would tell him to say. Because, no way in hell the Magic want Pau Gasol. Fegan and Dwight may want you to think that though. Rudolph is no longer a reporter, but a pawn.

I'm not going to lie, I see the semi-potential to get Bynum and Afflalo, or Iggy and Afflalo too. Both seem good to go forward with in winning now, moreso Bynum and Afflalo depending if you're not pessismistic like me on his recurring injury history. But I'd rather roll with getting whichever of Bynum/Gasol gets us the most picks/prospects as first choice too, and I think Pau is being mentioned to us b/c he's not the one looking forwards to UFA in 1 year like Bynum, that hurts offers.

LA, Orlando and Philly have been in talks for a few days, but needed a fourth team (Denver) to provide cap relief, picks and take Iguodala.

I like Gasol as a piece but would be very surprised if he was here very long. Don't understand the love affair with Bynum at all, no way could I trust his attitude or health.

I can't wait for this guy to be off my team, good riddance.

OR he's finally using common logic because Woj broke the news.

We all know how credible Woj is.

Alex Kennedy ‏@AlexKennedyNBA
Source confirms that ORL, LAL, PHI and DEN have discussed four-team deal. However, source warns it's "one of several deals being discussed."

Love you Alex Kennedy

I think this dies down just as quickly as it started. We've seen it a few times. "TRADE IMMINENT" its like that scene in family guy where Brian throws a tv into peters orbit.

Yep, another "insider" just regurgitating Woj's story, while trying to put their own spin on it.

Important thing is we have been talking trades with multiple teams post hiring JV. We're back in the search it seems after bowing out for a bit to get the coach taken care of.

I wonder what the other deals are. Personally i think that the trade that should happen but never will is Dwight for Bosh+Wade. It makes way too much sense.

To be fair though, Woj said that this trade wasn't imminent.

Actually Gasol was traded for an all-star, but you can thank Stern for the veto. Other than that, LA's brass along with Kobe value Gasol extremely high which is mainly the reason why he's still wearing a LA jersey.
