Let's assume this deal happens as reported:

Henny wants to build through the draft. The draft picks in this deal won't be lottery picks, they'll probably all be between 10-25. So this makes no sense ..

As I've been thinking all along, why not skip that process and just get Bynum. Is there gonna be anyone with his talent in the coming drafts in the range of the picks we're gonna have? Will Pau Gasol get us a pick high enough or a player of that quality? Doubt it

All teams in this deal get better except for us, i'm not buying this deal as reported. It would only make sense if we were Bynum & Afflalo.

I feel like this deal screws us over pretty hard. How are we going to contend with Pau and Affalo...there has to be more to this..bleh. We ALL know the plan is to contend so don't give me crap about what we are doing or not doing. Devos wants to contend. You all know that. I just don't think this is the best deal we can get to be true contenders..

We just seem to have a lot of PFs at the moment. And while I agree that Harper and Clark could play SF, I think both are clearly better suited as PFs at this stage in their careers.

Truth of the matter is, this might be the best deal that's been presented to Hennigan, and they truly know there isn't any way they can keep Dwight.

Exactly.

Getting Bynum and Afflalo is the ONLY deal that makes sense with the Lakers as proposed.
