It's not their FO...it is their zip code. You think Cleveland, for example, couldn't offer a MUCH better package if Dwight would re-sign? Of course they could. LA is in LA. It has NOTHING to do with their FO.

Actually it does, when all these players come in trades, and no team has to send their player to LA, and the Magic had better offers from Brooklyn and Houston, and the Lakers still were the ones to make the deal work.

As a Rockets fan I see this as a win-win.

According to the Internet, the Hornets had agreed to trade that pick to the Lakers the day before the draft. The Lakers told the Hornets who to pick. Hence they drafted him.
