Moochie when are you coming in? If you want I'll give you my cell and then I can help you out alot more. I've lived here my whole life and it would be easy for me to meet up also if you needed anything - my schedule is very flexible im a self employed horticulturalist.
God bless medical mj.
If you feel the need to shoot hoops I also have access to indoor courts at LA Fitness and I could get you in if you like to play like me.
But Phoenix is huge. Between Chandler-Tempe-Scottsdale-Phoenix there are a ton of options so its really up to you there is basically anything you can think of.

Re: ot: visiting phx, things to do?
I'll try avoiding repeating anything that's already been said, some pretty good to great suggestions already thrown out there. Here's some more stuff that hasn't been mentioned.
Food
1. 4 Peaks Brewery in Tempe - great food and brews
2. Citizen's Public House in Old Town - another place with some great food and brews
3. Cowboy Ciao in Old Town - little upscale for some, but food is awesome
4. Matt's Big Breakfast - pretty self explanatory, but awesome food here.
5. Fry Bread House - Central/Downtown Phoenix - fry bread is something you can't get everywhere and this place is the best in Arizona
Couple West side places if you end up visiting that side of town where the Coyotes and Cardinals arenas are, unfortunately most of the stuff around the arena are just chain restaurants. However, there are some good eats on the west side if you don't mind driving a little :
a. Haus Murphy's
b. La Piazza al Forno
c. Kiss the Cook
Bars
1. Mill - as others noted, right by ASU and pretty active almost every night. Some of my favorites
a. Canteen
b. Rula Bula
c. Robbie Fox's
2. Old Town Scottsdale - varies depending on where you go, some of my faves :
a. Mabel's on Main - dress code, but has a classy 50s-60s vibe, think Mad Men. Some of the best bartenders in Arizona too, in my opinion.
b. The Lodge - same guy who owns Mabel's, great drinking spot but a bit tiny. Reminiscent of a ski lodge in the middle of the desert.
c. Pattie's and Coach House - versions of a dive bar in Scottsdale, but almost always packed with ASU people
Attractions
1. Stuff to see
a. Phoenix Zoo
b. Heard Museum
c. Arizona Capitol Museum
d. Phoenix Art Museum
e. Deer Valley Rock Art
f. Wildlife World Zoo
Shopping Areas : Biltmore and Scottsdale Fashion are both really nice areas. I'm assuming you don't want to go to our ghetto shopping malls, haha.
2. Sports Stuff - I see you already listed some stuff
a. Westgate for AZ Cardinals - tickets to these games are amazingly cheap compared to most other cities. You can get nosebleeds for like $5-30 for certain games. It's not a bad option at all if you just want to say you've been to and experienced the stadium.
3. Strip Clubs - well...guys have needs...or something, haha. Anyways, we do have some pretty good ones in the Phoenix area compared to other large cities that I have gone to that have terrible clubs. Some suggestions :
a. Bourbon Street
b. Le Girls
c. Skin
If I think of anything else, I'll throw it out here.
