Lakers did not have to give up Pau? Wow why is that other GM's are willing to gift wrap them trades? Yet everyone wants to fleece the knicks in a trade boggles the **** mind.

Well the Sixers are relevant again. Well right now atleast. The Atlantic went from horrible a few years ago to the best division in the league.

Why do the Lakers keep getting good deals?

they were getting the 1st seed in the conference anyway.

Yea but Dwight gave them problems and Orl got some wins off of them. Now they can rest 2 of their big 3 in every division game and still win.

Meanwhile we have Bynum coming into our division, an improved Nets team and a revamped Celtics team. Like why even play the games anymore?

You do realize that you don't play more games against your division opponents than you do against other conference opponents, right?

You play 4 games against each division opponent
You play 4 games against 6/10 of the remaining conference opponents
You play 3 games against 4/10 of the remaining conference opponents

The difference is negligible.

How do you think fans of the Bucks, Raps, Bobcats, Kings, GS, etc feel when they play us? Melo, STAT, Tyson, Camby. We can beat the Nets and Celtics and Chi town. If the Knicks take care of business on the court, they can be a top 3 seed.

Think D'Antoni will consider taking the Nuggets job if George Karl steps down? Seven seconds or less can finally make its glorious return to the NBA and defeat the likes of the Lakers, Spurs, and Thunder.

You know this is the Lakers we're talking about? They'll always get players gift wrapped to them. If anybody has a 1 year window is the Knicks

How so? He took a team to the finals by himself. I'm slightly worried about the back, but even so...Nash is Nash. He makes teammates better and will continue to age well. With defenses focusing on Dwight, Kobe should have less defensive attention; Nash/Dwight pick and roll is crazy; AND they still keep Pau? C'mon...you're grasping at straws if you think they only have one year.

Like my post if you want to see the "Dwight vs Melo trade" thread unlocked. This board will get nuked in a way that hasn't been seen since the Pistons and Pacers boards after the Malice in the Palace brawl.

Not with a 35 year old Kobe and a 40 year old Nash. OKC isn't going anywhere. This is their year with this group. Not saying they can't eventually put other players around D12.
