Post still says the same. Nash will age well, Kobe will become more effective with the teams focusing in on Dwight, Pau will still be there...we're gonna have to agree to disagree here, dude.

So to be clear, you're saying in 2014 a 35 year old Kobe and 40 year old Nash can beat OKC, assuming the core players are still playing? Don't see it.

The Tyson deal would be fairly comparable. We can't say we didn't get a steal with that one.

What deal? We had capspace due to using our amnesty. Everything after that is details really.

Weird trade to say the least. Afflalo is a fine player but his contract is not cheap at all. Vucevic is nothing special. They took on Al Harrington's garbage contract. And picks are all protected.

I didn't get it for Denver either. They have essentially 4 SFs on the roster now paying them a combined 30 million dollars.

Philly made out like bandits. Lakers improved too but let's not act like they didn't give anything. Bynum is still the second best center in the league.

Yup...I can see it happening. Would be a good series, though...that's for sure.

Other teams know how the Knicks do business. They'll squeeze as much as they can from the Knicks because they know they'll get it..

Where's the stupidity of our front office in this deal. Its not an exact science where we got the math wrong. There are people and agendas involved.

Several issues with your post. We don't know what other moves Lakers can and will do until then. They are willing to spend money more than any other team and they always make the right moves. Add to that, OKC may not be able to keep their core with Ibaka and Harden potentially getting close to max contracts.

I don't think the Knicks offering Chandler the biggest contract (of teams interested) can be considered a steal.

Afflalo is a 27 year old SG who is definitely nothing more than a great role player who is on a long and not so cheap contract.

Nothing wrong actually. I said ASSUMING THE CORE PLAYERS ARE STILL PLAYING. But I am saying a backcourt of Kobe and Nash in the 2014 playoffs will not beat OKC with Durant and Westbrook in their prime.

They don't. Lakers usually make very fair deals. They just know how to negotiate and not overpay.
