Are you saying that Pau Gasol deal was fair?

Marc Gasol got a max contract, didn't he? I'd take him over Pau right now.

You can't be saying that with a straight face right now

I have a very straight face. Last time I checked basketball is not played 2 on 2. With Harden/Ibaka gone, OKC is a good playoff team but not better than Lakers with Howard/Gasol inside and an old Kobe/Nash backcourt.

Uhh...who are you responding to?

Your post makes no sense

It turned out fair, at the time it was not a fair trade. Marc Gasol was a rookie who was drafted in the second round and hadn't played a single NBA game.

At the time it was a lop-sided trade, but even a year after the trade and Marc Gasol errupted, Greg Poppovich said it wasn't so one-sided after all.

You would have think, Orlando would have wanted Wilson Chandler instead of Al Harrington.

Fair point, but at the time did not get face value.

But value is subjective to a single team. So Marc was valuable to Marc. But it did help that Jerry West was the GM of the Grizzlies at the time.

Lol. these guys are trolling us hard.

Dan L ‏@KnicksFanBlog
RT @BobSaietta: @KBergCBS I'm sure the Knicks threw in a future pick to Orlando. Doesn't the CBA require that for every trade?

Sixers

PG Holiday
SG Turner
SF T.Young
PF Moultrie
C Bynum

I don't see how a bench of Dorrell Wright, Jason Richardson and Nick Young can get minutes when they all play the SG/SF position. Other than Bynum they really have no size, and will be using Dorell Wright and Thaddeus Young at PF.

Define fair. It is all about team's needs. Pau was making 18 million dollar a year on a non-playoff team. Marc was a rookie who was spending all his time in Memphis being closely followed by Memphis management and would only cost minimum.

Are you telling me that Memphis management had no idea about who Marc was and what his ceiling would be when he was basically living in Memphis for the past several years? I'd say their scouts knew better and simply we didn't know as fans who Marc was and could be.
