I wanted Nash to win a Championship this year too.

But now with Dwight in the same uniform, I'm torn.

Look at the talent Denver got for Melo.

Look at what the Hornets got for CP3.

Now compare that to what we are reportedly getting for Dwight. How you can come away satisfied is completely insane.

seriously, its not a good trade....someone please tell me how its a decent trade?

Ok, we get young lottery talent in Vucevic and Harkless, we get cap relief by giving up Duhon, JRich, Clark, we get an additional solid piece in Afflalo, we get the expiring contract of Harrington, and we get 3 picks. I dont see the problem. We will be looking at like $25 million in cap room in summer of 2014, and will likely have top 5 picks in both drafts leading up to it. I know it may not be a big named player, but you are undervaluing the importance of cap space here quite dramatically. Our nstars will be gathered from our own picks, and our first rounders from other teams are crazy good assets, and allow us to add future talent while still being able to tank now.

THIS.

i see posts where people are saying that Nicholson was 'thrown in', and some that say we take back Harrington??

BBD/O'Quinn
Harrington/Nicholson/Ayon/Vucevic
Turkoglu/QRich
Afflalo/JJ
Nelson/Duhon

is that seriously what's being reported as the end result of trading Dwight Howard?

Duhon is supposedly going to LA also. So you can replace him with some D-League scrub.

Has this "deal" come too far for it to be a smokescreen?

What a joke, giving up J-Rich's "bad contract" only to take on another in Harrington? Just doesn't make sense

Alex Kennedy ‏@AlexKennedyNBA

The Orlando Magic will likely receive Arron Afflalo, Al Harrington, Nikola Vucevic, Moe Harkless and three first-round picks.

We pull off a four team where we trade the best player of the bunch but all three other teams impove and we get some role players and very late firsrt rd picks that are protected. Heard we get rid of Richardson Duhon and Clark but im not impressed or at all excited. I will always say no way in heck Bynum walks away fronm extra year and money for max. W this trade where Brousard saying othrr gm's cant believe the Magic would make this trade. Combine this w over payin Jameer this offseason I dont know if goin w the young inexpierienced Henny was the right choice to make the biggest descion in the history of this franchise.

Al Harington is Non-Guranteed in years 2/3.

Regardless, it's tanking season.

The funny thing is this is somewhat similar to the post-Melo Nuggets....if we can somehow turn into them, it'll be a ton of fun to watch.

Yes, let's hope he really nails the 23rd, 26th, and 30th picks he just got from this trade.

(There's no way this deal is going down as reported)

Well everyone seems to be happy with the 18th and 49th pick he just made without his team together. We have added 2 draft experts from Detroit and Chicago since that night. Also we have made new hires in our scouting team.

Being good at drafting and making horrible trades for mediocre draft picks are not one and the same.
To not get a single extra lottery pick or young all star for Dwight is unfathomable.

Last time I checked, Durant, Westbrook, and Harden weren't picked in the 20's. Time for a reality check.

Those of you defending the trade as it's being reported are the ones who literally would have approved of anything no matter what it was.

LOL @ those crying about cap space, who are you gonna sign in FA? Dwight? Chris Paul? LOL....

Henny knows we can only improve through the draft... the big stars want bright lights, we're going OKC style.

Didn't realize, somewhat of a good sign. Although I still think Philly is getting way to much, more needs to come from them.

If this goes down fans of 25 teams or so should boycott until a hard cap is put in place.
If Orlando can't keep their stars, why should Milwaukee, Minnesota, Toronto, etc even have teams???

Yes, that we have actually. Dwight + Duhon + JRich + Clark is about $30+mil cleared. We take back $1.7 Harkless, $8mil Afflalo, $7mil Harrington (but only like $3.5mil guaranteed next year), $1.7 Vucevic. Plus you never know....maybe we throw in another guy (Turk, Q, ?) to clear a lil more room?
