It sounds like the Orlando Magic will also receive Christian Eyenga in the four-team deal.

We're taking on Duhon AND giving up Christian Eyenga? What the hell is Mitch doing?

tsk tsk

No.

Fxcking.

Way.

Fire Hennigan now.

Oh man...I REALLY wanna dig up some old Humblebum quotes now about how the Magic had all the leverage and that the offers would only get better the longer they held onto Dwight and the more desperate other teams became.

J-Rich: $5.8M / $6.2M / $6.6M (PO)
Duhon: $3.7M / $3.9M

Davis: $6.4M / $6.4M / $6.6M
Hedo: $11.9M / $12M (PO)

Are those really their worst contracts?

I get the vibe from a lot of Magic fans that they found Davis productive for his contract.

I thought he only looked good when he was playing C, and well, he's not a C, but if so, then I stand corrected.

I wonder if the Magic Front Office will try and contact Doc Brown and see if he can fire up the delorean and go back in time and take the Nets offer ?

Every team in the deal got an All-Star except for Orlando.

Someone tell me this is a joke...

So Magic so far from reports...

Affalo, Vujecic, Harkless, Eyenga, Harrington, 3-4 first rounders and dumped the same contracts in Richardson, Duhon and Clark...

Hmm, not sure it's that bad to be honest. Rockets offer was better, but Dwight obviously had a big say with his decision to LA only.

They did. They could've waited half the season, or just grabbed Bynum, which would've been a great trade. I suspect owner meddling on the part of Devos.

Ah bitter fan .

No no, I'm serious. But I'm looking with the understanding that the Suns aren't contenders next season. So I'm looking long term, and I'm glad this is happening. Its gonna be a circus equivalent to Shaq/Kobe in LA now. But no bitterness, hell I'd rather the Lakers win than the Heat...

A. No , kobe is going retire in 2 season :/
B. Kobe and Dwight can work.
C.Dwight is not shaq

Even though Lopez doesn't deserve the max, paying Afflalo's and Harrington's doesn't save you that much. You get to dump the same players, get Marshon Brooks, an extra pick (all unprotected), an expiring Humphries, and Lopez who has potential. I'm sure having Lopez and Brooks is worth the extra cash.

Davis and Hedo can actually play, so...

dockingsched wrote:yeah, i don't see that package as being better. who wants to be locked into a max deal on lopez? rather have afflalo. the picks are basically the same value.

14 million for a 7ft center who can give you 20 pts a game, and is only 24. You'd rather have Afflalo than that?

The Nets have a better chance of being bad in 2015, and 2017, than the Sixers/Nuggets/Lakers do in the next 2-3 years.

Hedo is a partial guarantee next year (Al Harrington also) and will be super valuable next season for teams in the tax under new CBA rules. I still have this feeling that Davis may be dealt in this whole thing and they still have Q-Rich's deal they wanted to get rid of and for some reason don't want Earl Clark even though he's on a 1-year deal.

They must be high on Harkless, Vujecic and Eyenga then.

I've been saying this for a while. There was a deal in place earlier this year that was finalized and had Howard coming our way, but DeVos vetoed it. (Then promptly fired Otis and Stan to make Howard look bad)

After that and seeing this summer, I knew it wasn't our package or Lopez. DeVos was just being a spiteful ****.
12-70. Never Forget. Moment of silence for all the fans lost during that battle.

not just saying this as a bitter Raptors fan...but Hedo is awful now. If he couldn't/wouldn't try on a team that had Dwight and a chance to be a top 3 seed in the east, why on earth would he even give enough effort to jog up and down the court now?
