i hope to god those picks are not lottery protected, with bynums injury history and iggy, the picks from philly and denver could be lottery, but it wouldnt matter if they were lottery protected

I'm pretty sure there won't be a physical for Dwight.

A gentle nut-grab, as opposed to the cheese-grater taint scrape we just received.

Thats because no one has perspective. For example, we dont want Bynum because we are doing a full on rebuild which is the right thing to do. But in this twitter era everyone wants changes imediately and in the situation we are in we would be stuck being mediocre with large contracts, no capspace and no draft picks. When we traded Tmac and got back 3 veterans (Francis, Mobley, Cato) that did not turn out very well did it? We did not make the playoffs with those guys, we did not have capspace and our draft position sucked. So if we do the deals that ESPN says we should have done then that would be our destiny- being mediocre.

This. Remember the Gasol trade? Everyone was crapping on Memphis

..I think I even remember Popovich saying something like they needed a "trade council" after that thing went down

I think the true outcome of this trade will be more shaped around what Henny does now with this situation. He has a chance to completely erase this firestorm by building well like Memphis did

Poor kid seems to think he's going to be a factor here.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Protected could mean lottery protected or top 3 protected - or anything in between. Big difference, and we don't know which, yet.

Chris Broussard on ESPN

Seems like Orlando panicked.
They had a better deal from Houston.

The point is he should be able to get more. Even as a rental.

Doesn't that depend on how heavy the protections are? Would you care about a top 3 protection for teams that all will be out of the lottery? Maybe the protections will indeed suck, but at least wait for the terms to be made more clear damnit.

Broussard certainly doesn't know that. Just like the rest of us, he knows the rumors of what the Houston deal was, nothing more.

There gotta be more to what's reported. I don't mind trading Dwight, but what we're getting back is a load of crap. What upset me is the fact that we managed to be Lakers bitch again. We could've traded him to Houston and get basically the same deal.

Lol this just doesn't seem real.

We have been speculating on who we could receive in a Dwight trade. NOBODY would have ever guessed it would be Afflalo...Harrington...Harkless...Vucevic...& Eyenga hahaha

Yikes

The more I think about this....the more I think it might actually happen. Wouldn't be shocked at all. Has this all really gotten the 3-week long typical approval by the Devos' too?? Seems rather quick...
